Josh Carlile started his coaching career as
the varsity co-head coach of the high school softball program from 2003-2006. Since taking over the program completely in 2006 Manteno High School has a record of 303-113 (.728%). In Carlile's tenure MHS has won five conference championships. The program has also won five regional championships and one sectional championship. Manteno Softball claimed a super sectional championship in 2014. In that same year Manteno earned a second place at the state tournament. Carlile was named the I-8 coach of the year in 2007, 2011, 2014, 2018 and 2019 and The Kankakee Daily Journal Coach of the Year in 2014. In addition, Carlile was named as an Illinois Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2014. During the 2014 season Manteno earned a national ranking of 16 by ESPN. Carlile believes that hard work and strict discipline help prepare his athletes to become successful members of society. In addition to coaching the High School team, Carlile has been coaching The Manteno Middle School Softball team since 2002. During his tenure at the MS the Panthers have placed second in conference three times and won seven conference championship. The MS team has also won 7 regional championships, 4 sectional championship, and earned trips to the state tournament in 2007, 2009, 2014 and 2019. The 2009 MS softball team went on to win the state tournament while the 2019 team finished as state runner up. Coach Carlile was named the Kan Will All Sports Coach of the Year in 2009. His travel teams earned World Series births in all three seasons (NSA 12 and under twice and ASA 16 under)

Krista Carlile - Currently Coach Carlile is the Manteno Softball Program's pitching instructor. Coach Krista Carlile previously held the co-head varsity softball coach position. Prior to taking over the varsity coaching position, Coach Carlile was the junior varsity head coach. Coach Carlile also coached traveling softball for two years. Both years Carlile's teams qualified for national tournaments (NSA 12 and under). Prior to taking over the pitching duties, Coach Krista Carlile was the co-head coach for Manteno Middle School from 2002 - 2007. In her six seasons MMS finished second in the conference twice and won one conference championship. The program has a regional and sectional title under Coach Carlile. In 2007 MMS earned a spot in the state tournament (elite eight) for the first time in over fifteen years. Coach Carlile helped guide the 2009 MMS Panthers to the state championship with her instruction to the Panther Pitchers. Carlile's pitchers set two records at the state tournament including a no hitter in game one and 13 strike outs in the championship game. Krista was a three sport athlete at Manteno High School participating in basketball, volleyball, and softball. During her career Carlile broke many school records, many of which still stand in the all time record book. After high school Carlile continued her softball career at Kankakee Community College on a full ride athletic scholarship. While at KCC, Carlile's team finished 7th at the national junior college tournament. After graduating from KCC Carlile played softball at the University of Wisconsin Parkside where she was a pitcher.

TJ Kauchak - Coach T.J. Kauchak has been coaching varsity high school softball since 2002. T.J. started as an assistant coach at Cathedral High School, one of the most prestigous softball schools in Indiana. Coach Kauchak took over the varsity program in 2005 and continued to build upon the past success of Cathedral High School. led two teams to Sectional titles in her three years as the Cathedral Irish head coach. Coach Kauchak helped guide the MMS Panthers to the state championship during the 2009 season. Kauchak took over the head coaching duties in 2011, while head coach Josh Carlile was deployed with the Army, and lead the team to a regional championship. Coach Kauchak is returning to Manteno after graduating from MHS in 1998. During high school Coach Kauchak set numerous records many of which still stand today. After High School T.J. attended Kankakee C.C. on a full ride athletic scholarship. After graduating from KCC T.J. transferred to Marian College in Indianapolis. Kauchak played four years of collegiate softball and earned Academic and Athletic All- American awards.
