Bountiful School of Ballet

Bountiful School of Ballet Founded in September 1972, by Catherine Ostroski and Sandra Swensen, both who hold a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah.

The Bountiful School of Ballet is committed to offering professional Classical Ballet training at an affordable price. We do not have the fanciest facility, but have proper, professional Marley flooring (with a sprung floor), and high quality, trained, and experienced teachers with small classes. The directors and distinguished faculty have developed a structured syllabus that incorporates primarily Vagonava and Checceti styles of ballet - which is the prominent style of ballet along the Wasatch Front. The school takes great pride in their Original Story Ballet each May that is FREE for anyone to attend.

We want every student to be comfortable and excited to come and dance. The trial class is a great way to meet the instructor, view what techniques they will learn, and meet the other students.

There’s a place for every dancer in the Bountiful School of Ballet Jazz Department! 🌟
dancers can begin at age 7, and continue through our advanced levels, building, strong technique, confidence, musicality, and performance skills along the way.

For dancers, looking for even more opportunities, our Performance Group offers additional performances and the chance to develop a versatile repertoire that includes:

🌟 Hip-Hop
🌟 Musical Theater

The results speak for themselves: Over the past five years, BSOB dancers auditioning for the local high school dance companies have achieved 100% placement - including at Bountiful, Woods Cross, and Viewmont High Schools. Most of our Senior Company Performance Group dancers also participate on their high school dance company.

These classes focus on the core techniques of ballet while developing flexibility, coordination, and artistry. Open to all boys and girls who want to explore dance and make new friends.

“Why sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” It doesn’t seem possible that it’s already been over a week since the Bountiful School of Ballet’s Alice in Wonderland performance. It was like a dream watching these young dancers own the stage and bring the magic of wonderland to the hundreds of people in attendance. captured the wonder with these Act I photos and we cannot wait to share Act II.
