VertiQuest Gym Movement Skills Event
Saturday, September 25, 2021
10am-2pm (ages 9-13)
Entry Fee: $60
Come on out to VertiQuest Gym to have a blast putting your movement skills to the test! Our last few were such a blast for everyone that we decided it's time to have another one. The skills will be set appropriately for the ages.
We will be having a fun competition that will have 10 challenges to try and complete with a perfect mixture of parkour and ninja obstacle proficiency. Skills might include parkour movements such as wallruns, catleaps, precisions, bar swings, etc and ninja movements like tricky grabs, shaky balance obstacles, accurate rope swings and such.
We will be giving out some prizes, but this event is also a way to help out the gym from pandemic hardships. So even if you’re not sure if your training is quite there, you should still sign up and have a great time just giving it a shot and having fun for a bunch of hours at VertiQuest!
How it works:
We will introduce you to the challenges in the first 30 minutes and then let you practice any of the challenges for an hour. You can put in as much practice as you want on any challenge or choose to save your energy for when it counts.
Then we will separate into groups of a few people and rotate from challenge to challenge with a judge at each station. Certain challenges will get points based on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd attempts (full points for 1st try). Other challenges might be just one attempt and points are based on how far you went, or possibly certain times to get under for the points.
There will be a max of 3 points per challenge (30 points total), and we will award prizes to a certain percentage of the point leaders. We will have a tie breaker challenge for anyone with the same number of total points for final placement.
Any extra time can be for extra training, awards, etc.

Hi everyone! We hope everyone has had a great start to the new schoolyear and things are returning to somewhat normal.
We have come up with a few new changes to our schedule, class options, and pricing to make things a little more convenient for both us and our customers. Below are some of the changes:

1) We have switched all of our open gyms to be 1 hour sessions instead of 2 hour sessions. This allows more flexibility for people to choose from since before we did not allow anyone to come halfway through a 2 hour session. You may still sign up for the nightly back to back 1 hour open gyms if you'd like. The passes are now all based on 1 hour pricing options. There are no longer separate 'junior' pricing categories, but you must still sign up a 7-8 year old for the 'junior' sessions on the schedule. If you still have 2 hour open gym passes under your profile, please send us an email to switch them over to one hour passes appropriately.

2) There will be a new range of classes starting on October 11th. This will include Flips, Ninja, Junior Class, Adult Class, Parkour Level 1, and Parkour Level 2. You may find the descriptions for these listed under the schedule on the website. The parkour classes will be broken down into two sets of skills that alternate every other week. The schedule for these skills per week is also under the schedules on the website. Students may now progress to the next level and test out when they are ready during an open gym, but must show strict proficiency in the movements of the previous level.

3) We now have homeschool classes and private classes available again in the hours before school lets out. Details for the homeschool classes are in the class descriptions under the website schedule and the private class info is at the bottom of the EVENTS website page. The private classes are now open to 5 and 6 year olds! However these are the only options for them, and they must be 1 on 1 for that age (with parents of course), so no friends or siblings joining at the same time.

4) We will now offer some classes on the weekends! See the schedule for the different options and times that begin after October 11th. We hope to see you then!

5) We are still in great need of booking our Birthday parties. They have always been a huge hit here and are so much fun, but have slowed down since the pandemic. We need to get back to the 'parties book other parties' consistency as the parties are our main source of paying the bills. If your/your child's birthday is coming up in the near future, please remember us for an unforgettable experience!

6) Sign up for our Skills Competition this weekend for ages 9-13! It will be an absolute blast as our past ones have proven. We definitely need more signups to have a great event, so sign up ASAP if you are interested or tell your friends to come as well! See the website EVENTS page for details.

With many customers away for summer vacations, it's actually a hard time for gyms, and we still have some high costs right now as we still recover from pandemic hardships.

We are now offering our best deal on packs of classes, open gyms, or a combo package. Now you can get 20 packs and save the most per session. These have the longest expirations of any of our passes and are good until the end of 2022, so scoop up a bunch of sessions to use at your convenience!

But since we need some quick help for monthly payments, this deal is only up for a short time, so buy before August 15th to save on our sessions!

So even if you’re not sure if your training is quite there, you should still sign up and have a great time just giving it a shot and having fun for a bunch of hours at VertiQuest!

Tuesday and Friday class change note:

We have added more spots to the Tuesday and Friday classes that have been filling up. We will have two instructors in order to split the classes those days into two groups so that we can continue to have the same smaller groups on the courses in separate sections at a time. If for some reason one of the instructors cannot make it that week, we will only have the first 6 signups and notify the others that they cannot join the class that week, so it's still a good idea to sign up early.
