Tonight was only the second time in the school’s 18+ year history that we held class without power, due to regional outages from high winds. Grateful the lamps we used during the pandemic still had some juice left. A year spent training in a local park came back to mind.

A thanks to everyone who joined us for dinner to celebrate their achievements — as well as to honor Michelle’s recent promotion to Red Sash from a few weeks ago! 🙌

Finally, we also celebrated BKFA’s recent 18th anniversary. I’m grateful to have been able to share traditional Chinese martial and healing arts with everyone who has had the curiosity and courage to explore this path. Thank you to all the students, past and present, who have helped shape the academy and community through the years.
