MOVEMENT TO TRANSFORM YOUR BODY AND MIND

Avita Yoga is a moving meditation that heals in body and mind. Nearly anyone can benefit because it uses attainable shapes to rejuvenate tissues in and around the joints. The result is more health, mobility, and peace of mind.

Some places remind us how good it feels to slow down. 🌿

To step away from the noise.
To move with intention.
To breathe a little deeper.
To listen a little more closely.

This September, we’re gathering at the Himalayan Institute for five days of mindful movement, reflection, and connection.

Healthy joints. Strong bones. A peaceful mind.

Not something to chase.
Something to practice.

Come as you are.
Join us September 9–13 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

What if you were never separate to begin with?

A bubble rises from the ocean.

For a moment, it appears separate.

But it was never anything other than the ocean.

Perhaps the mind does something similar—creating me and you, me and the world.

Avita Yoga offers us a chance to pause, look beneath that sense of separation, and reconnect with what has always been there.

Come practice with us.
Wherever you are, there’s a place for you on the mat.

A strap can help you explore the shoulders in a different way.

As we move very slowly and reach overhead, we can begin to notice the relationship between movement, sensation, and fascial release.

There’s no need to force a deeper shape.

The invitation is simply to create the conditions for the body to move with a little more freedom.

Notice what changes when you take time to listen to the feedback.

The practice doesn’t end when you step off the mat.

It continues in how we move, breathe, connect, and meet everyday life with peace.

With Avita Yoga, we create space to explore—through movement, reflection, and inner connection.

What if the purpose of a yoga shape isn't to achieve the perfect pose...

but to notice hidden areas holding, restricting, clinging?

Every shape offers an opportunity to listen instead of force.

To become curious instead of critical.

To meet yourself with awareness instead of judgment.

Sometimes the deepest shifts begin the moment we stop trying to perform and simply allow ourselves to be present.

The real value isn't in watching.

It's in noticing what stays with you after the conversation ends.

Yoga is more than what happens on the mat.

It’s how we unwind to move with greater ease, breathe more fully, and meet everyday life with a little more joy.

In Avita Yoga, we practice not to become someone different, but to come back to ourselves.

If you’re ready to deepen your practice, join us at one of our upcoming retreats. We’d love to practice with you.

What if yoga isn't something you do, but somewhere you return to?

The first Sutra begins with one simple word: Now.

Not yesterday.
Not tomorrow.
Now.

The practice invites us to notice when our thoughts pull us away—and gently return to the present moment.

Because yoga is more than movement. It is a way of thinking. A way of being present.

Yoga is now.

You don’t have to wait until something hurts to start paying attention.

Movement can be a way of listening—to how we feel, how we move, and what our bodies may be asking us to notice.

At our Avita Retreat, we’ll explore healthy movement, mobility, strength, and awareness in a setting designed to help us slow down and listen.

There was something I couldn't quite reconcile after my first yoga class.

When I asked the teacher what we had just done, he said, "Yoga means to join."

My first thought was, If yoga means to join... why did we just spend an hour pulling ourselves apart?

That question stayed with me—and shaped the way I understand yoga today.

What question first brought you to yoga?
