It’s been a few weeks since I got the very sad call about the passing of my friend, Dr. Wallace J. Nichols know to most people as J. We have lost an Ocean Champion, an Ocean Advocate, a father, a husband, and a compassionate person who was always there to help and guide others. He has been a friend for decades, a speaker at many of our Inland Ocean Coalition events and a fun person to snorkel and talk with. My heart breaks for all of our loss, especially for his family and wife, Dana Nichols.

J, you have said this often - “You can't hold back the water, but you can swim with the current.”

I hope you are with water. 💜
