In honor of planing the next Alaska Trip for fly fishing and deep sea fishing here is a story for you! Our last trip there a crazy thing happened.

My Father Mike and my Brother Tony were both hooked up on a halibut with at least 1,000 ft of fluorocarbon line out.

Out of nowhere, the captain said to Tony “Reel your lineup and pause “ he then told Mike to do the same. But what the captain noticed was when one reeled the other line with slack, and the other railed the other lineman slack.

We then came to the conclusion they were both hooked up on the exact same hell of it, at the exact same time in the middle of the open ocean.

When it was brought to the surface, an hour later, we were all in complete AWE at the pure size of this fish!!! This Halibut was in the 250 pound range falling short of the Seward Alaska record by only 87 Lbs.

CANT WAIT TO GET MORE MONSTERS THIS SUMMER!! 🎣
