Merry Christmas ADC Family.

Not a Holiday post here, and it’s probably a bit deep for this time of year, but after over 15 years of ADC being part of the instructing world, this hits home. Think about the internet fi****ms personalities over the past decade or two - by and large they didn’t create a lot of smart shooters, but they made a lot of followers looking for a certain and sure path to feelings of comfortable superiority because viewpoints were validated by groupthink, because they carried the popular firearm that the gun rags convinced them were what the real operators carried, etc…. It has become a superstition broken into sects.

Love us or hate us, ADC has tried to split the hairs, ask the hard questions, and slay the sacred cows. This has probably hurt our popularity in a world seeking certainty through confirmation of traditional biases. Those of you who have stuck with us, who have attended classes, particularly multiple classes, hopefully have recognized that while our classes are mostly about “how?” Behind it, there is a basis in that more difficult question: “why?”

2026 is knocking on the door, and social media engagement notwithstanding, I’m planning more of the same.

In December 2005, the first polymer M&P Pistol shipped from the factory. First introduced in .40 S&W, it featured a reinforced polymer frame, stainless steel slide and barrel, interchangeable grips, ambidextrous controls, and a Picatinny rail.

And after 15 years, this page has finally hit 1000 followers. I’m OK with that, we used social media to drive the business, we never intended for the business to drive social media. When I look down the list, most of our followers are students, clients, and associates and there are memories associated with almost every name.
