In baseball, as in life, all the important things happen at home.
Although, community is so very important too and I am grateful for the amazing people God has surrounded us with. He knew the grace, love, and support we were in need of at this time and He faithfully overdelivered in all areas of our lives. 🥺🙏🏼
This was such a special season with even more special teammates…that became friends… that became family. Thanks for making a 5+ month season fly by with lots of special memories full of fun and laugher. 💙
Next year Zay will be the league age to be drafted so sadly we won’t be playing with the same team. However, we are excited to come cheer on the AAA Champion Ray’s next season!!
This past week was extra special because the MAMA’S got to coach a game haha while the dad’s barbecued for everyone. Zay also got to see and play against his school buddies. Great way to wrap up an unforgettable season.
****Shout out to all the hard working and wonderful dad’s that made sacrifices to coach and prioritized pouring into these boys, Thank you!!

Today we celebrate a huge milestone in Mia's health...

The bravest girl I know is one year seizure free! Glory be to God!!

Within moments of getting home from a family bike ride Mia suffered an abnormally long first time seizure. From when the seizure came, to the length of the seizure, to her recovery...it is clear that God had His hand of protection on her. There is no other explanation.

After a series of appointments and tests at Children's Hospital she was diagnosed with focal (or partial) epilepsy.

It was a relief to finally get some answers but it seemed every which way I turned there was change and a new normal to adapt to. Our new normal quickly became medication 2x a day, training with rescue medication, limiting and staying away from certain triggers and foods, and keeping an eye out for side effects and symptoms. Her journey isn't over yet, as we go in next month for some more testing, but we are rejoicing over this milestone.

This past year represents a year of so many unknowns, of change and transition... from the pandemic, distant learning, health issues, to home life. Mia has truly handled all the unknowns with so much grace. It could have been easy to fall into a state of fear but I chose to fall into my faith. This past year really grew my faith and challenged me to truly rest in God's faithfulness and trust His plan.

To all of you who have or know someone who has epilepsy, my heart goes out to you. Keep praying, keep living, keep fighting, you are not alone! Epilepsy changes lives but endless hope and faith create strength.

There are no words that can express how grateful and thankful I am for the small circle that has been praying for Mia. We love you all so so much!!

On this Good Friday we rejoice in God's unfailing love, grace, and faithfulness!!

It is never too late to educate, swipe for some info on Epilepsy awareness, it could save a life. 💜💜💜

There is a certain happiness in being silly.

No place should represent the joy of God’s kingdom more than our homes and families. Your greatest ministry starts at home.

I want to encourage you to intentionally make time to have fun and be silly with your family!

As schedules start to fill back up and we battle through the daily mundane tasks and parenting challenges, remember to take time to celebrate.

Create and enjoy family traditions. Capture family memories. Be a goof and let your kids roll their eyes at your lame humor, or maybe they will join in! These will remain special memories to them.

Ask yourself...What will your children remember most about you?

The good news is that the answer is entirely up to you!

I pray that one day when my kids think of the joy of God’s kingdom, that all of our special memories together (through all seasons of life) will be the clearest example. For our hope and joy are truly only found in Him.

Intentional parenting is hard work, but it should never be only hard work. Take the time to have fun and be silly, your kids need it and to be honest, so do you!

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4

I’d love to hear some memories/traditions you remember as a kid or have started with your family! Big or small, serious or silly, let’s hear ‘em! They can inspire a family to start/create new memories. 🤍

Visit many books
but LIVE in the Bible.

Many books can inform you but there is only one that can truly transform you and give you hope. God’s word speaks to any and all issues we face today, it is the lens to view and discern e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.

One thing we all have in common is that we will endure difficulties and hardships. Life with God does not guarantee you a life without trials and seasons of difficulty but a peace and hope amidst the difficulties.

‘Are you suffering? Tired, depressed, angry, lonely, or overwhelmed? Do you question why do you feel the way that you feel or what is my purpose? God’s word speaks to and gives hope for that!’ (Pastor Potts)

No matter the season you’re in, remember God gifted us His word and for that we can “Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Visit many good books but LIVE in the Bible for the every day hope and healing that our hearts long for.

Curious. Do you have a life verse... or what verse(s) are giving you hope right now? Share in the comments, you never know who it could encourage. 🤍

The mountains are always a good idea.
Grateful for the time and ability to get away to the mountains, it’s always so refreshing. There is nothing like that crisp mountain air, the gorgeous mountain views, fresh crunchy snow, and best of all... Zoey girl hugs n snugs. 🤍
Just a reminder that your productivity does not determine your worth. Be sure to make time to unplug and rest.
What are some ways you enjoy unwinding and recharging?

Be kind.
Be honest.
Be silly.
Be loving.
Be you!

As usual the kids had a blast at the farm. It was a gorgeous day and there is something rejuvenating about that crisp fall air. The fresh donuts aren’t bad either. 😏

The days can seem so long but the years sure are short. I know I’ll look back and miss these days... through the chaos of the seasons of life I always want to remain grateful for making memories through it all with my crazies.

No matter what season of life you may be in I want to encourage you to remember to Smile. Laugh. Have fun. Be light hearted. Love others. Give thanks. And most importantly, lean on the Lord.

Trust me, I know it is a lot easier said than done, but as a single parent the Lord gives me strengths, peace, love, and hope I wouldn’t otherwise have. He is not just enough. He is more than enough. 🤍 @ Snohomish, Washington

Have you ever noticed that our biggest blessings can often be the things that annoy us or stress us out the most?
The blessing can feel more like a burden.
Maybe it's stress or annoyance from your job, having to care for the children, cleaning up what feels like endless household messes and chores, cooking dinner, bedtime routine, working out, being home with family so much...
***What we may take for granted others are praying for...
What if everything you complained about today was gone tomorrow? Ooof!
Take a moment to reflect on what you have been complaining about and change your perspective and give thanks for the blessing it truly is.
When you catch yourself complaining, take your thoughts captive and turn your mindset into one of humility and gratitude. This is heart work that takes intention and practice, give yourself grace as you will always have those hard days, we are human after all. Thank God that His mercies for us are new every morning.
Lord, forgive my complaining heart, cleanse my heart and fill me with fresh gratitude for the many blessings you have given me. Thank you, God for your faithfulness. 🤍
What is something you "get to" do today?

Black cherry vibes shining through 🖤🍒
I guess you could say I am in a whole different headspace.
Lighter and brighter never felt better. I found a style as simple, sweet, spicy, sassy, and strong as I am.

With sad, tear filled eyes and broken hearts we wanted to come together for one last photo as a family of five, to smile with Max before saying goodbye.
It’s been two long, heavy, and quieter months since I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our sweet and silly Maxi boy to rest. Passing just weeks after the rise of Mia’s medical issues on top of the new quarantine normal...everything seemed to be upside down, it was a lot for my heart to bare.
Through heavy times there is always opportunity to grow in strength, wisdom, and endurance. It has been a special experience to lean on our faith and mourn through some big emotions together as a family. Expressing our pain and sharing all the fun memories and the silly things Max did. He brought so much love and laughter to our lives.
Max was mama’s little crazy boy. So loving and loyal. He was always by my side, didn’t like leaving me out of sight, and had snuggled me through some of the darkest and loneliest nights in my life. He brought us lots of giggles... and deserves a metal for being so patient with smother mother, Mia. 😆
We all miss you so much maxi boy. ❤️
I want to give a huge thank you to my family, special friends and the most {{unbelievably}} generous life group for loving on me and the kids...I’ll never be able to express what your support has truly meant to me. I’m in tears from an overflowing heart of God’s grace. Love you and appreciate you all so much. The cards, the gifts, the messages, all the love from you has filled our hearts.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
