Happy Birthday to our late Taiji teacher, Grandmaster Kao, Tao

Grandmaster Kao is remembered for his charisma, fortitude, sense of humor, and spontaneous musical displays of singing American folk songs while playing the harmonica or ukulele.

Happy Birthday to our late Long Fist teacher, Grandmaster Li, Mao-Ching

March 2018 - YMAA trip to Taiwan to celebrate Grandmaster Li’s 90th birthday.

The Long Fist style we train comes from Grandmaster Li’s teachings, which he learned from Han, Qing-Tang.

We honor Grandmaster Li’s registered birthday of July 5, 1927. His actual birthday was December 26, 1927. Grandmaster Li passed away on July 6, 2024 at the age of 97. (He used the Chinese nominal age system, by which a person is counted as one year old on the day of birth.)
