Watching Game 4 of the NBA Finals at 2:30 AM…
From a 700-year-old castle in the middle of Slovakia. 🏰🏀
Life is weird sometimes.
As grateful as I am for this adventure, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling a little FOMO (like really!)
For the first time since my last day with the New York Knicks 🏀 at the end of 2023, I’m watching this run from afar instead of from inside the building.
And what a run it’s been.
Madison Square Garden faithful helped shape me through my 30s and into my 40s.
They challenged me.
They humbled me.
They helped me grow as a clinician, a leader, a mentor, and a human being.
The Knicks organization gave me opportunities I’ll never take for granted.
New York City gave me perspective.
And the fans?
They continue to remind the world why they’re the greatest basketball fans on the planet.
For decades, they’ve waited.
Believed.
Suffered.
Stayed loyal.
Now the entire city feels united behind one team in a way I’ve never quite seen before.
You can feel it in every conversation.
Every street corner.
Every social media post.
Every packed bar.
Even from thousands of miles away.
So tonight, from a medieval castle in Slovakia, I’m sending a little love back to the city that gave me so much.
No matter where life takes me, a piece of my heart will always be in New York.
Let’s go Knicks.🟠🔵
WELCOME TO THE NOW.🙏🏽
