Throwback to 2008 at True Pilates New York, AKA Drago’s Gymnasium, on West 57th St. One of the very few photos I have from my time there. And how lucky am I to have this pic with two incredible teachers, Sari & Romana 💗💗💗

Back then, we didn’t have camera phones documenting every moment, or photos & videos of our lessons to look back on. And, of course, there was no Instagram!

Part of me wishes I had more tangible evidence of that time in my life. But another part is grateful for how fully present we were. We observed closely. We practiced diligently. We learned by being there, giving our full attention to the work.

To fellow teachers - What do you remember from your apprenticeship / teacher training? Did technology play a role? Were you even allowed notebooks in the studio??
We weren’t! 😂
