Read how a community conversation led to the creation of The Salvation Army of Massachusetts' A.M.P.S program at the Boston Kroc and meet the local teacher who is introducing our city's youth to Audio, Music, Production and Storytelling. Through this new six-week pilot program, he's teaching children as young as age 6 to record, edit, and perform original projects in our Boston Kroc recording studio.

At The Salvation Army Boston Kroc Center, children are discovering the excitement of making their own music. Through the A.M.P.S. program, music producer and educator Kavayah Wright introduces students to recording, production, and songwriting, giving them opportunities to explore their creativity and discover talents they may not have known they had.

Congratulations to our own Fitness & Recreation Manager Trevor Garrick, recipient of the Chris Hernandez Beacon of Hope Award at the 2026 National Kroc Conference in Phoenix, AZ! This award is given to individuals who work at Kroc Centers who have really gone above and beyond their job description as they do ministry and care for people.

A SLAM DUNK as we celebrate 15 years! Check out our new outdoor court! Youth from our Boston Kroc KidsFEAST program and the community had a ball playing pickleball and participating in basketball drills with Neemi 🏀 On behalf of all of us at The Salvation Army “thank you” to the Boston Celtics and Dunkin’ for teaming up with our Boston Kroc Center for this amazing renovation. We're all looking forward to enjoying it for years to come!

EDS Update: Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services mobile feeding unit and trained volunteers and staff from Boston Kroc Center are providing lunch to an estimated 200 Boston Fire Department firefighters and other public safety personnel after this morning's 6-alarm fire at a commercial building on Warren St. in Roxbury. Thank you to EDS team members Neil Welds and Bill Schmid who are on site. We are working with Boston Sparks Association and other emergency management partners.
