Lastly, in addition to raising monies for many causes, schools and hockey programs affiliated with the Irish Hockey Classic, we have a special request for a young 21 year old who was paralyzed in a car accident from the neck down this past September in Maine.
Ben Damon has spent 150 days in 4 different hospitals and rehabilitation facilities throughout New England after his C6 vertebra was shattered and he sustained severe spinal cord injury.
He now begins the difficult stage of transitioning to life back home and the challenges associated with such a move.
Even the smallest of donations add up to help Ben in a big big way and we ask the Irish Hockey Community in New England to lend Ben a hand.
We respectfully ask that you visit Ben’s page to view his story and make a donation of any size to help improve circumstances for Ben and his family going forward: https://www.gofundme.com/backingbigben
Cheers from IAIHA-
