We're full for open volleyball with people on the waitlist so just going to post a reminder about the capacity policy. ***If you are on the waitlist or are not registered when you arrive, you will be allowed in first come first serve.***

ATTENTION open volleyball participants. As you know we have limited space with only one court and even more limited time on Friday night from 6:00-8:30 PM. Because of this we are limiting capacity to 24 participants. (I am willing to make an exception if you are bringing someone that will substitute for you but you must inform me before and do not have that person sign up online).

CAPACITY RULES: REGISTER IN ADVANCE ONLINE (see the link and QR code below)! (this is the easiest way for us to determine capacity and people to know whether open gym is full or not). After 24 people are either registered or have walked in for attendance people will be turned away at the door.* Space will prioritized to the online registrants first. After that it will be first come first serve. The capacity is set at 24 to allow for 4 even teams. There is the ability to share your space with someone if they will be subbing for you. If that is the case you must inform me in advance. If you register online but can not make it to open volleyball you must inform me prior to 6:00 PM so we can take you off the list. If you do not show up and do not inform us you will lose the privilege to register in advance for future sessions.

SPECTATORS: As much as we would like to, due to City of Boston guidelines for programs, we can not allow spectators at this time. Please plan your participation accordingly.

*Understanding that traffic and other extenuating circumstances arise, registered participants will have until 6:30 PM to arrive before their space is given to the next person on the waitlist (either online or in person).

Hey everyone, open volleyball is FULL for tonight. Thank you all for registering! So far we've had two people drop and there is one on the waitlist. Feel free to sign up for waitlist in case anyone else drops.

It was great having people in the gym playing after so long. We appreciate everyone who came and tried to register with our new system which should be fixed now. The updated info and registration for today and tomorrow are below. Thanks and hope to see you here!

OPEN VOLLEYBALL
Open Volleyball time dedicated for high school- and college-aged young adults to learn and practice various volleyball skills with opportunities to play full-court volleyball games.

Dates & Time: June 24th (Thursday) - July 2nd (Friday)
2:00-6:00pm each day

Ages: 15-25
Co-ed
Limited space, max 25 participants

BCYF QUINCYCC PROGRAM REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
1. Visit https://www.boston.gov/news/bcyf-program-and-registration-information-during-covid-19
2. Click on the "Registration Website" link on the right side of the page
3. Select "BCYF Quincy Community Center" under Location (left side of the page)
4. Select "Sports - Courses" under the "Sports & Fitness" category
5. Scroll down to the "Volleyball" category, and click on the link for "QCC Open Volleyball"
6. Click on "Register" to sign up for the activity. You will need to set up an account, if you don't already have one.

BCYF community centers are offering classes and courses for pre-registered participants. We continue to expand the menu of offerings as we are able to in accordance with public health guidelines. You can learn more below.

Effective: March 12, 2020 until Further Notice

The following programs/activities are CANCELLED:

· ALL BASKETBALL
(BCEC, ADULT, TEEN OPEN GYM, ETC.)

· ALL VOLLEYBALL
(ADULT, FRIDAY LEAGUE, BOYS HS, OPEN, ETC.)

· ALL CONTACT SPORTS

· QCC YOUTH SWIM TEAM (PRACTICES + MEETS)

Hey everyone, the gym will be closed all day tomorrow, Saturday 1/18 for annual refinishing. That means no open volleyball 😔.

Youth AND adult golf lessons coming soon with golf season just around the corner. This program is especially good for anyone really new to the game and wanting to learn in a friendly and non-intimidating environment.
