The Barksdale Kids Tennis Camp will be held on Tuesday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 22, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. in the Youth Center Gym on Barksdale Air Force Base.
This is a CTA–NJTL Outreach Program in partnership with Bossier Ladies Tennis (BLT) and Bossier Tennis Center (BTC)—a collaborative effort dedicated to introducing and growing the game of tennis among youth in our community.
BLT ladies, as well as men and women tennis players from the Bossier area, are encouraged to volunteer. High school tennis players are also welcome to help.
Volunteer Information
* Volunteers should meet at the BAFB Visitor Center at the Main Gate at 12:00 noon on one or both days.
* We will obtain visitor passes and ride together to the gym.
The camp will be coordinated and led by Kirita Windham, with support from our CTA team and Vanessa Hernandez, BAFB Youth Program Director.
Camp Sessions
* 1:00–1:45 p.m. – Ages 5–8
* 2:00–3:00 p.m. – Ages 9 and above
Volunteers will be assigned to a station and work with a small group of children. It’s always a fun and rewarding experience!
