Phillies pummel Alabama and punch their ticket to the championship round. 🏆⚾

Landon Martin went the distance, tossing a complete game and surrendering just 1 unearned run over 7 innings, striking out 5 and walking none. Efficient and in command from the first pitch. 🔒

The offense did its damage early and often. Bryant Lacour got things started in the second with a two-run single 💥, Bradon Stephens added an RBI single, and Brody Turnipseed tripled home a run to put the Phillies up 4-1 after two innings. Stephens added a sacrifice fly in the 3rd to keep the foot on the gas.

The Bossier Phillies put the game away in the 6th after putting up a five spot on 3 hits. 🔥 Nate Cervantes doubled to center scoring three, Griffin Sibley singled home another, and a steal of home capped the inning.

Cervantes led the way going 1-for-3 with three RBI. Sibley and Stephens each went 2-for-4. Jackson Waller drew two walks and the lineup accumulated six walks on the day. 👀 Zero errors in the field. Cole Snell anchored the defense with six chances.

The 10-1 shellacking sends us to Championship Sunday starting tomorrow at 12pm CST vs Mississippi.

Slade Stephens threw a gem, going the distance and allowing only 3 hits in their victory over Bryant Black Sox 18U.

The Bossier Phillies bats also showed dominance and patience at the plate, scoring 6 runs on 10 hits while drawing six walks. 💪

Nate Cervantes led the way, homering to center 💣
in the fourth to put the Phillies on the board, finishing 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Landon Martin also went 2-for-4 while Cole Snell worked two walks and set the table all afternoon.

Up next, the Phillies have a showdown this evening at 5pm CST to punch their ticket into the championship.

They will battle it out with the loser between Alabama and Mississippi. ⚾🔥

Some wins don’t come easy. That’s what makes them matter.

The Bossier Phillies gutted out a 2-1 victory over Columbia Post 19 SR’s this morning, surviving a tight pitching duel that came down to one swing.

Bossier’s Tanner Webb was locked in on the bump. He went six strong innings, allowed six hits, one run, and tallied eight strikeouts.

The Phillies trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth. Jackson Waller stepped up with a single that scored two runs and flipped the game.

Slade Stephens slammed the door with a clean inning of relief to close it out.

Waller led the offense going 1-for-2 with two RBI. Cole Snell, Brody Turnipseed, Bradon Stephens, and Nate Cervantes each added a hit. Snell swiped two bags.

On to the next one.

The Phils had fellowship tonight before they leave out on Wednesday. We celebrated Phillies past and present for all their accomplishments and success of the last 4 years. Thank you to Post #14 for hosting. Thanks again to our main supporters at Post 191 Keith Fontenot & Post 202 with Dan and Linda Resendez. Thank you to the parents who showed up today. Also, last and certainly not least thank you to the players who make all of this happen. In 4 short years you have built a program that has become well known across the nation. Geaux Phils.
