Ready to go for 2026? Know some high schoolers who want a NO HASSLES trail to fish with a pathway to the B.A.S.S. High School national event?

🚨 REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 HIGH SCHOOL BASS TRAIL IS OFFICIALLY OPEN — RIGHT NOW!
Let’s roll, anglers. The biggest HSBT season yet starts today.

https://highschoolbasstrail.com/2026-register-season/

And this year, we’re leveling up in a major way:

🏆 HSBT is now an official affiliate of B.A.S.S. High School Nation, giving every registered team a legitimate pathway straight to B.A.S.S. Nationals. No extra hoops. No extra confusion.

💥 Even better:
Your HSBT registration fee now includes B.A.S.S. membership for all anglers, and HSBT will handle the entire B.A.S.S. registration process for every team. ZERO HASSLE. One clean signup. You fish—we take care of the paperwork.

⚠️ NEW FOR 2026 — SAFETY RULES THAT ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE --- We’re raising the bar to protect every angler on the water:

ALL Boat Captains — regardless of age, experience, or Louisiana birthdate exemptions — MUST hold a valid state-approved Boater Education / Boater Safety Course certificate.

Proof of completion MUST be uploaded through our website before the first tournament.

No certificate = no launch. Immediate disqualification or removal until corrected. No exceptions.

🔥 2026 starts now.
Get your team signed up. Get your captain certified.
This is your shot at the most professional, most competitive high school trail in Louisiana—with a direct line to the national stage.

Hey HSBC anglers! Let's give the LDWF Biologists plenty of data to work with. PLEASE fill out the survey AND share this information out!

🔔LDWF Announces Statewide Black Bass Angler Survey and Requests Participation -

To complete the survey, visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YC78TGP
or scan the QR Code below.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries invites Louisiana bass anglers to take part in the Statewide Black Bass Angler Survey. The survey gathers information on anglers’ experiences, preferences, and opinions regarding the management of Louisiana’s three black bass species:

Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, and Florida Bass.

The survey will be available to Louisiana residents through December 7.

Information collected through the survey will assist LDWF and the Black Bass Management Plan Stakeholder Working Group in developing Louisiana’s first stakeholder-driven Black Bass Management Plan. The 10-year plan will guide the future management and enhancement of bass fishing opportunities
across the state, reflecting the goals and priorities identified by Louisiana’s bass anglers giving them a direct role in shaping the future of black bass fishing in Louisiana.

For more information about the survey or black bass management in Louisiana, contact LDWF Black Bass
Coordinator Zane LeBlanc, at [email protected] or 225-765-2312.
