On January 5, 1957, Austin Cargill, President of de Anza's Board of Directors, opened the first 9 holes here with a drive off of #1. The only building on the property was the golf shop.
Today, November 4, 2023, Tom Heathcott, President of de Anza's Board of Directors, opens the first 9 holes of a newly renovated course with a drive off #1. Due to the recent tragedy, today's opening happened with only the golf shop standing.

Sad news to report. Our beautiful clubhouse at de Anza has burned. We don't know the cause at this time, nor details on the timeline. Everything happened over night. Bighorn Room, Coyote Den, Ballroom, offices, locker rooms were all ruined. Golf Shop is okay.

We are all devastated; members, employees and friends of de Anza.

Big THANK YOU to our first responders. You can see in the pictures what they were battling.

Mid Summer Update. As we approach the end of July and the temps have reached their summer pinnacle (we hope), the course remodel continues...
Big thanks to our staff and contractors who are working very hard to meet our goals.

A few updates on the multiple projects that contribute to our water reduction goals:
1. Sand Traps are reshaped and redug to match their 1957 glory.
2. New forward tees are marked and currently under construction.
3. Main line irrigation is almost complete on the front 9 and the back 9 is underway.
4. Desert scape areas (removal of turf) are underway. Boulders are being distributed to the areas that are scrapped and free of turf.

We look forward to seeing our members and their guests when the season kicks off in November.

Recently we broke ground on our water reduction course remodel. We are now a few weeks into the project and the front nine is currently closed. All of the traps on the front nine have been recut and dug to bring them back to the original shapes from Lawrence Hughes' 1957 vision. Further, some of the tee boxes will be refreshed, repositioned or resized. Next week they will start work on our back nine!

The Club Staff Accountant is responsible and accountable for compiling and maintaining accurate financial records and other related accounting duties. This position reports to the Club General Manager. Hybrid-Remote work arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain effective communication with all team members to maintain a smooth, informed, and consistent atmosphere related to office functions.
• Maintain accurate financial data, including month-end financials.
• Maintain daily bank deposit ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Process checks and accounts payable as applicable.
• Process AR Payments and Accounts Receivable as applicable.
• Enter and reconcile daily revenue report.
• Reconcile credit card charges from all Clubs with proper documentation.
• Adjust and balance inter-company accounts on a monthly basis, as applicable.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare sales tax returns, as assigned.
