🏴‍☠️ VARSITY PIRATES DOMINATE IN MEXICO! ⚽️

The Boonville Pirates came out firing against the Mexico Bulldogs, setting the tone early and never looking back!

5’ — Reece Townlain opened the scoring with an assist from Landyn Davis, giving the Pirates an early 1–0 lead.

19’ — Reece Townlain struck again, blowing through the Bulldog defense to make it 2–0.

Just one minute later, Trenton Manning added another after following up on a goalkeeper deflection to push the Pirates ahead 3–0.

30’ — Henry Brownfield continued the scoring with a perfectly placed finish off a corner kick from Reece Townlain, who picked up the assist.

The Pirates came out of halftime just as strong.

47’ — Boone Dicus added his second goal of the season with a composed finish off an assist from Trenton Woodall.

53’ — Henry Brownfield found the back of the net again with a well-placed shot to make it 6–0.

63’ — Reece Townlain completed his hat trick with his third goal of the night!

65’ — Caleb Rohrbach outpaced the entire Bulldog back line and buried the Pirates’ eighth goal of the night, closing out the scoring.

From the opening whistle, the Pirates played fast, aggressive, and confident soccer. The effort, teamwork, and determination were on full display tonight, and this group continues to show what they are capable of.

I hope everyone is as proud of these players as I am. What a performance!

🏴‍☠️ BOONVILLE JV PIRATES 1 – FULTON HORNETS 0 ⚽🔥

The Boonville JV Pirates picked up their first win of the season last night at home with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Fulton!

The boys stepped up against a fast and physical Fulton team, showing great improvement defensively and doing an excellent job staying organized. Offensively, we created several strong opportunities and made better use of space.

After a strong run by Jase Hinkle earned the Pirates a penalty kick, John Traub’s first attempt was saved. But John came back in the 31st minute and found the back of the net off a beautiful pass from Layton Holley!

🏴‍☠️ BOONVILLE PIRATES 7 – FULTON HORNETS 0 ⚽🔥

The Boonville Varsity Pirates put together another strong performance at home tonight, controlling the pace, creating opportunities, and keeping the pressure on throughout the match.

Trenton Manning opened the scoring in the 24th minute off an assist from freshman Landyn Davis. Manning found the net again in the 30th minute after a well-timed through ball from Reece Townlain.

Draco Barbarotta added the third goal with a beautifully placed strike from outside the box, assisted by Lian Nickerson.

Boone Dicus joined the scoring with his first goal of the season after a perfectly placed cross from Jace McKinney, who recorded his first assist of the season.

Then came Henry Brownfield, who closed out the scoring with three goals in just five minutes! Brownfield found the net in the 70th, 71st, and 74th minutes, completing a hat trick and earning back-to-back hat tricks in the Pirates’ last two matches. 🔥

The Pirates played a complete game tonight, maintaining the pressure, pace, and persistence from start to finish.

JV Pirates Battle in Competitive Match Against Smithton

The JV Pirates competed in a hard-fought half against the Smithton Tigers in what was a closely matched contest from start to finish. The Pirates showed noticeable growth and improvement since their last match, demonstrating increased confidence, composure, and determination on the field.

Boonville battled throughout the match and held the Tigers off for the majority of the game before Smithton eventually found the back of the net. Despite the result, the Pirates showed encouraging progress, and we’re excited to see how this group continues to develop as the season moves forward.

🏴‍☠️ Varsity Pirates Bounce Back with a 6-0 Home-Opening Victory!

The Varsity Pirates made a statement in their home opener against the Smithton Tigers, earning a dominant 6-0 victory in front of the home crowd.

Boonville struck first in the 10th minute when freshman Landyn Davis battled hard to create an opportunity and found Draco Barbarotta in the box. Barbarotta finished with a sliding effort to put the Pirates ahead 1-0.

The Tigers battled defensively and kept the Pirates off the scoreboard for much of the match, but Boonville came out firing in the second half.

In the 60th minute, Henry Brownfield capitalized on a rebound off the Smithton goalkeeper to extend the Pirates' lead to 2-0. Just two minutes later, Brownfield struck again, heading home a beautifully delivered corner kick from Draco Barbarotta, who earned the assist.

Senior Elijah Ueligger continued the Pirates' offensive attack in the 70th minute, finding himself in the right place at the right time to make it 4-0.

Brownfield completed his hat trick in the 74th minute, pouncing on a loose ball in the box following a corner-kick opportunity to put Boonville up 5-0.

The Pirates weren't finished. In the 75th minute, “Big Dawg” Trenton Manning capped off the scoring with a composed finish into the corner of the net following a beautiful trivela assist from Brownfield.

It was an outstanding team performance from start to finish. The Pirates played with intensity, battled for every opportunity, and earned every one of their six goals.

🏴‍☠️ Varsity Soccer | Season Opener

Our Varsity Pirates opened the season on the road tonight against the Jefferson City Jays in what was a physical, intense, and hard-fought battle from the opening whistle.

The Jays came out fast and aggressive, but our Pirates matched their pace and energy throughout the match.

Just two minutes into the game, Reece Townlain put the Pirates on the scoreboard first, finding the back of the net off a perfectly placed free kick from Henry Brownfield, who delivered the ball into the box.

At the 10-minute mark, freshman Landyn Davis doubled our lead with a phenomenal strike from approximately 25 yards out, finding the bottom-left corner. Caleb Rohrbach provided the assist as the Pirates took a 2-0 advantage.

Our boys finished the first half strong and carried that momentum into the second half. Unfortunately, we were forced to play nearly the entire second half a man down after Draco Barbarotta received his second booking.

Down a player, the Pirates dug deep and put together an outstanding defensive effort. With approximately 15 minutes remaining, the Jays were awarded a penalty kick following a handball in the box. Jefferson City converted, cutting our lead to 2-1.

From there, our boys responded exactly how we needed them to. We finished the match extremely strong, battled through the adversity, and held on for a hard-earned season-opening victory.

Our Pirates Varsity squad had a strong showing at the Smithton Jamboree last night, earning a 2–1 victory over Green Ridge before following it up with a 2–0 win over Smithton.

Against Green Ridge, Caleb Rohrbach got us on the board first with a composed finish off a quick assist from Reece Townlain. Henry Brownfield then found the back of the net with a well-struck shot from inside the box.

Defensively, Aiden Schueler came up big early, making a beautiful penalty save to keep Green Ridge at bay.

In the second match, the Varsity squad continued its strong play with a 2–0 victory over Smithton. Reece Townlain struck first, finishing off a slick assist from freshman Trenton Bartalocci.

Henry Brownfield added the second goal with an outstanding free kick, bending the ball around the four-man wall and into the corner of the net.

Overall, it was an impressive day for the Varsity squad, showcasing strong teamwork, quality finishing, and excellent defensive play!

This week the BHS soccer team hosted our Pirate Youth soccer camp. During the camp, our youth players practiced fundamental soccer skills, competed against each other, and received top tier coaching from our own BHS players! We finished off the camp with a refreshing penalty kick shootout against our varsity goalkeeper!

It's always great to see our current players coaching the young players that will eventually join the BHS soccer team!
