Empower Wellness NY is proud to announce a special summer wellness initiative aimed at providing 40 local students with the opportunity to attend two free weeks of the Notre Dame Kids in Motion Summer Program this summer.

The Kids in Motion Summer Program offers youth a safe and engaging environment focused on recreation, social connection, teamwork, confidence building, and overall wellness. Opportunities like these can have a lasting impact on a child’s emotional well-being, self-esteem, and sense of belonging.

Through donations, community partnerships, and in-kind support, Empower Wellness NY is working to fully cover the cost of attendance for selected students while also providing care packages and additional resources to help ensure each child feels supported and encouraged throughout their experience.

As a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to mental health, wellness, and positive youth opportunities across New York State, they are incredibly grateful for the community support helping make this possible for families in Oneida County.

Drivers beware, our staff has planted signs to remind you. But, it should be without saying. It’s a ball park be alert when driving and slow down.. we have received several complaints of faster moving vehicles. Slow down and Watch out for children!!!
We also plan to open the back gate into wood gate drive during time exit times to illuminate congestion and hard feels.

Tick season has arrived! Please make sure your kids wear long clothing that is tucked in and use repellent. Be vigilant checking for ticks even when you are out for a short time. Enjoy the outside safely!

As small community, traumatic events hit different, we all have some type of connection to those directly effected. The BYAA Board has proudly been a member of this community our entire lives, we are blessed to always see the strength in others and build ourselves back up. We all share the highs as well as the lows.

On that note, we have received some incredible news from the The Edwin J. Wadas Foundation, Inc. The BYAA was awarded two grants that total over $150,000 for improvements to the facility. This money is earmarked for field work, electricity and lights to the back fields, a new maintenance shed and doors for the batting cages.

In addition, we received an award from the Sawyer Foundation for safety improvements at the facility.

This does not negate this past week, but we hope it will give a little light for the future of our community. We are incredibly thankful to both organizations for supporting us.
