6 ladies. Zero excuses. Business handled.

Thursday’s Evening Grind was all work. 6 ladies showed up after long days, locked in, and put on an absolute clinic from the first set to the last.

No shortcuts: Heavy weight, strict form, maximum depth.

Pure drive: Pushing each other through the toughest working sets.

Consistency in action: Showing up week after week and getting the job done.

Talk is cheap. Showing up at 6:00 PM and putting in the work is how results are made. Massive respect to these 6 for raising the bar once again.

Yesterday's Evening Grind was a heater. Nothing new, same Tuesday program, and again, it whooped us as much as we whooped it.

These ladies are the rock, the foundation of these group fitness sessions.

They came in, they slayed, they left nothing on the table.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Always proud of these ladies. They show up where men refuse to. And that alone speaks out!

❤️✌🏽🥓💪🏽

4 ladies. Zero excuses. Business handled.

Thursday’s Evening Grind was a pure demonstration of work ethic. We had 4 ladies step into the gym after long days, leave every excuse at the door, and get straight to work.

As a coach, these are the sessions that set the standard. No complaining, no cutting reps short, and no hesitation—just4 ladies locked in, lifting heavy, and holding each other accountable from the first set to the last.

Thursday Night Takeaways:
Relentless Focus: Every rep executed with intention and standard-setting form.

Shared Energy: Pushing through the hardest parts of the split together.

Driven by Consistency: Showing up week after week and putting in the work that actually yields results.

It’s easy to talk about getting better; it’s another thing to show up at 6:00 PM and earn it. Massive respect to these 4 for setting the bar high and closing out the week strong.

Medicine Ball Madness. Bobbi Jo🐝 had us absolutely gassed at the end. This is her show. I've worked with her long enough, built workout programs together, personally trained together for 18+ months, that i can say... the medicine balls are a first-class item for a circuit workout.

All due respect to her for the masterpiece program she crafted. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

What I want to everyone to know, is why this program on Wednesday evening is an absolute monster.

2 blocks. 4 multi-movement exercises/per block = 8. 3 rounds each block. 24 sets total. Under 60 minutes.

From the perspective of a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition Coach, medicine ball circuits are one of the most effective tools for driving metabolic conditioning, power development, and athletic movement—all in a single high-efficiency training block.

Here is the professional breakdown of why medicine ball circuits are so valuable and how they directly benefit your training and physiology.

Key Training & Health Benefits

1. Unconstrained Explosive Power (Rate of Force Development)
In traditional barbell or dumbbell lifting, your nervous system automatically slows the weight down near the top of the range of motion to protect your joints. With medicine ball slams and throws, there is zero deceleration. You accelerate all the way through the movement, training fast-twitch muscle fibers to generate maximal explosive power.

2. Multi-Planar Core & Rotational Strength
Most gym workouts train strictly forward-and-back (sagittal plane). Medicine balls excel in training the transverse plane—rotational and diagonal movements. Dynamic wall throws and rotational passes force the obliques, deep core stabilizers, and hips to transfer high-velocity force safely and powerfully.

3. High Metabolic Demand & EPOC (Caloric Burn)
Because medicine ball circuits involve explosive, total-body movements performed at a high tempo, they place a massive demand on your aerobic and anaerobic energy systems.
* In the Gym: Rapid heart rate elevation and maximum caloric expenditure.
* Nutritionally (EPOC): High-intensity circuits trigger Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption, elevating your baseline metabolic rate and calorie burn for hours after the workout ends.

4. Low Joint Axial Loading
Unlike heavy back squats or barbell overhead presses, medicine ball work delivers high-intensity neural drive and muscle stimulation without heavy compressive loads on the spine or high wear-and-tear on joints. It allows for high-frequency, high-intensity training with lower risk of overuse injuries.
5. Kinetic Chain Integration

A proper medicine ball throw or slam doesn't isolate a single muscle—it demands seamless coordination across the entire body. Power starts at the feet, transfers through triple extension (hips, knees, ankles), passes through a braced core, and finishes through the upper body. It teaches muscles to fire together as an integrated unit.

6. Neuromuscular Agility & Athleticism
Catching, reacting to wall bounces, and resetting position under fatigue sharpens hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial awareness. It builds functional athleticism that directly translates to sport performance and everyday life.

Sample Conditioning Circuit
Format: Perform each movement for 40 seconds of work, followed by 20 seconds of rest. Complete 3–4 total rounds.
* Overhead Explosive Slams (Triple extension + core flex)
* Rotational Wall Throws (20s Left / 20s Right - rotational hip power)
* Med Ball Clean & Push Press (Full kinetic chain drive)
* Bear Crawl Med Ball Push-Passes (Anti-rotational core stability)
