A beautiful day in Shafer Park! We have been working on a new town approved course layout and have officially re-installed two baskets. After the layout being approved on April 7 our goal has been to get the course back to 18 playable baskets.

A special thanks to Laura from the Park Board, Sully & Lynn from Pathfinder Farm, Les, Brent, Les, Doug, Travis and Darrell: our amazing volunteers joining us today for reinstalling two of baskets.

Next up is to finish installing turf tee pads at holes 4-16, new signage and renumber the course. Please check udisc for an updated course layout shortly!

To whomever lost their Boonsboro disc golf hoodie at Sam Michael’s this afternoon on the 14th tee-pads, I picked it up and have it! Please let me know how you’d like to get it back!!

❗️❗️ Course Update: We are excited to share that the baskets have been installed, the course is still under construction, but playable. We are still working hard to install tee-pads and signage (our next work day is this Saturday, May 3 at 9 am at Shafer Park). Please be patient as we work to install these items. We encourage everyone playing the course to check in to the course on U-Disc so we can track visitorship ❗️❗️

Thank you so much for all the volunteers that came out yesterday to help dig the basket holes, mix and pour the concrete, and assemble the baskets!! It was a lot of hard work and we wouldn't have been able to do it without you! A special shoutout to Nate Kraft and Pathfinder Farm Distillery for bringing the manpower and equipment to make the day go so smoothly! Also shoutout to Brent the disc golf wizard for doing the lords work with the basket security screws!

We are thrilled to announce that the Boonsboro Disc Course is now fully funded! 🚀 Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We are eager to move on to the next phases of bringing this course to life.

We look forward to working with all the amazing people we've met along the way. Your support and enthusiasm have been incredible, and we couldn't have done this without you. 🙌

Stay tuned for updates, as we will call on volunteers to help make this course a reality. We are so excited to build something amazing together!
