NC Concealed Carry Handgun Training: This course is the first step to acquiring a Concealed Handgun Permit in the State of North Carolina. Topics covered include: Firearms Safety, Shooting Fundamentals, Laws Governing the use of Deadly Force, Practical Demonstration, and Range Time. The cost is $60.00 per student. Host a private class in the comfort of your home for the same price as a public clas

2. NRA Basic Pistol Shooter Course: A fully comprehensive course developed by the NRA and designed to teach students everything they need to know about pistol shooting and ownership. Topics covered include: Firearms Safety, Firearm Components, Shooting Fundamentals, Ammunition Types, Safe Storage of Firearms, Gun Cleaning/Responsibility of Ownership, and Practical/Range Time. The cost is $100.00 per student.

3. NRA First Steps Pistol: This course focuses on a particular model handgun and is perfect for first time gun buyers. Developed by the NRA this course is designed to teach students one on one. This allows for a more relaxed personal learning experience. Topics covered are catered to the skill level of the individual and include: Firearms Safety, and Shooting Fundamentals. Advanced Level Presentation and Marksmanship Drills also available. The cost is $60.00 per student.

4. Firearms in the Home: This course is a Hicks Firearms Training Original, developed by us for you. It is unique in that it can be taught in a classroom setting or one on one in your own home. Topics covered include Types of Firearms and Ammunition best suited for your particular home, Use of Deadly Force in defense of your home, Safe Storage of Firearms and Ammunition, Safety Devices, and talking to your kids about gun safety. This course is not affiliated with the NRA. The cost is $100.00 per student or $150 per couple.

5. Youth Rifle: A new course developed to teach 13-17 year old boys and girls proper gun safety, storage, fundamentals, marksmanship, and ethics. This course will empower your son or daughter to be lifelong responsible gun owners. It will also teach them a valuable skill. This course can be taught with or without a shooting component. In churches, fire departments etc. And is perfect for youth groups, families, and even home-school groups for P.E. The price for this course is $20 per student without a shooting component and $50 with a shooting component. Firearms Cleaning: We love guns here at Hicks Firearms Training, so much so that we're willing to clean other people's guns for a reasonable fee. Look we get it, shooting is a ton of fun, but gun cleaning is messy and time consuming. Let us take care of it for you. The price varies depending on condition and complexity of the firearm but will never be more than $25 guaranteed.

Wow time has slipped away this month! Our second to the last class of the year will be this Saturday 11-19-22 at 1281 Old 421 S Boone NC 28607. From 9am-6pm. The cost per student is $60. Each student will need a handgun, 30rds of ammo, hearing and eye protection, and a valid ID. If you don't have a handgun you can rent one of ours for $25 including ammo. Depending on how many people come we might be driving 25min to shoot. Simply comment on this post or text us to reserve a spot. No registration is necessary. There are still plenty of seats so bring your friends, family, extended family, acquaintances, even strangers!

We will be traveling to a different location about 20min away to shoot. The cost is $60 per student. The student will need a handgun, 30rds of ammo, hearing/eye protection and a valid ID. If you don't have and handgun you can rent one of ours for $25 including ammo!

Hey guys there are still seats available for tomorrow's concealed carry handgun course! Now's the perfect time to check it off the to do list before the weather turns cold. The class is being held at 1281 Old 421 S Boone, NC 28607. And runs from 9am-6pm that includes range time. The cost is $60 per student. The student will need a handgun, 30rds of ammo, hearing and eye protection and a valid ID. If you don't own a handgun you can rent one of ours for $25 including ammo! The CCH course is perfect for beginners as it combines a basic pistol course and the laws governing the use of deadly force. Plus it earns you the certificate needed to apply for a NC CCH permit. T- 34 minutes until class starts! Bring a friend, bring your mom, the more the merrier! Also for those coming to the class there are unfortunately no signs yet at my house so look for a yellow house next to the road with a burgundy buick with Hicks Fi****ms Training on the back in the driveway. I regret to inform everyone that tomorrows Concealed Carry Handgun class is cancelled. I've had something unavoidable come up last minute, but I'll do my best to do two classes in August to make up for it. I appreciate everyone understanding and I look forward to training you at a later date!

Hey everyone! So I found out last class that my landlord sold the property I was shooting on, so until I get that squared away we will be shooting in Beech Creek unless a student has a suitable place closer. Thanks!

Today's the day! Looking forward to seeing everyone at 9am for some concealed carry training! For everyone coming please remember no live ammunition in the classroom, you can bring in your gun but ammo stays in the car till we're ready to shoot! Also just a reminder to bring something to drink/eat, there is a food lion down the road if you need it. LAST BUT NOT LEAST I have a cat named Buddy who is the official Hicks Fi****ms Training mascot, if you are allergic, or petrified of cats or something please medicate as needed and I can make other arrangements as needed.
