The Center 45 mission is to provide an open and energetic bouldering and training environment supporting the advancement of the Appalachian climbing and fitness community. Center 45 Climbing & Fitness offers visitors and Boone NC area locals 2000 square feet of indoor climbing (bouldering) terrain. Bouldering is a fun, challenging and popular form of ropeless climbing – typically done on a wall or
rock formation at 20ft or less in height. Every week our talented and creative route setters craft new and exciting climbs. Within the facility we also offer additional weight lifting and general fitness opportunities as well as a climbing specific training area. Our long bouldering wall varies from a sheer roof to vertical terrain, a massive 60 degree overhang, a smaller cap roof, a steep arête, and a helical wall and an independent 45 degree wall. The fitness area includes bench-press, free weights, tread mill, stationary bike, rope climbing, gymnastic rings, core exercise spaces, jump rope, medicine balls, and more body weight fitness options.
Our focused climber training area includes a variety of hang boards with pulley/weight assisted capabilities, an array of rock-ring and power ball campusing, a campus wall, jungle gym style campus ladder, a symmetrical systems wall, and a fixed slack line.
