Extreme Flight RC and Northwest RC have officially merged!! I've joined Chris Hinson and Ben Fisher as an owner of Extreme Flight RC and been named as the new General Manager of Extreme Flight RC!
I'll be taking over the position on January 1st. Chris Hinson remains President, Ben Fisher Vice President, Melissa Hinson moves to CFO. I'l be running the global day-to-day operations and managing the Atlanta headquarters, warehouse, website, etc.
First order of business for the merged company is we've made a distribution deal with Skywing RC! Extreme Flight is now the new North American distributor of the Skywing brand and its products. You read that right, Extreme Flight will be offering both Extreme Flight ARF aircraft and also Skywing ARFs!! On top of that we'll also be adding some accessory product lines over the coming months.
I'm going to be managing this colossal job of merging the streams and integrating two warehouses/two websites/two sales data systems into one, based in Cu***ng, Georgia. Our family will be moving to Georgia and this will take some time. Sarah and I will continue to operate Northwest RC but begin the process of winding down for a move this summer.
Containers are still arriving in WA and for now we'll be selling those to NorthwestRC customers via the NorthwestRC website like usual. It's difficult to put exact dates on when we'll get these changes done, but I expect it'll be completed by Summer. During this transition, I'll be spending a lot of time going back and forth managing the businesses from airplanes and the fun bus to make sure things go smoothly on both ends.
I'll be working with the international dealer accounts for Extreme Flight, and look forward to working with all of our distributors around the world to enhance your experience and help you serve your customers. You will be hearing from me soon!
Also, I'll be taking over the management of Team Extreme and sponsored pilots. We have A LOT of work to do just to get the companies merged, so I'll be putting sponsorships on the back burner for a bit. Nobody crash anything, and I'll get back to you in the next few months...
And lastly I'm taking over as social media manager and I'll be integrating the accounts and managing the platforms we use. I'm going to be putting together a new moderation team for social media so hang tight as it might be a while.
I'm tremendously excited to be taking this step forward. I've been helping to promote and service Extreme flight products for years and I'm thrilled to be an owner of the company and can’t wait to help take it into the future. I'm also grateful that I'll be able to continue my relationship with Skywing. I've worked with the great people at that company since 2018 and I'm proud of what we've done together.
