In 2013 I was approached to form a team of players to go to the BOLO tourney in Oregon. With the help of great parents and FANTASTIC student athletes, we took 1st place in the Gold 7/8 division. The first time a team from WA won that bracket. And the Kings were born! For the next ten years, the Kings competed and won tourneys across the PNW. Additionally, over 40 athletes were recruited to play D1-MCLA lacrosse across the country. Finally, in 2022 Quinault and I coached the Orting High School lacrosse program to the State 1a/2a championship and won 15-6! So, if you're going to go out, you might as well go out on top! Thank you to all the players and families that played for the Kings! I'm proud to have coached you and wish everyone the best going forward. It isn't often that I have the opportunity to coach a player that just wants to be on the field. The deep-down passion of the sport runs deep in Luke Swinney! He absolutely LOVES to play lacrosse - short stick, transition, defense, wing play, long pole... it doesn't matter. That burning desire has turned him into a determined and aggressive player and Boise State University is getting a fantastic all-around laxer. Congrats to Luke - your work on the field has paid off!, Butch Swinneyand Audra Swinney, you have raised a good one, thank you for the chance to coach your son!

Tige Nagel joined the Kings in 2015 and it was easy to see that this kid had something special. Every season he developed his speed, aggressive play, and lacrosse IQ. This past summer and fall, he was LIGHTS OUT on defense and a team leader. It is easy to see why Adams State in Colorado wants him and I'm thrilled that he's joined a strong program to be an immediate impact player. Congrats, Tige!!! Darn Coronavirus! I have heard from our summer tourney directors that they aren't sure about their scheduled events. There is a good possibility that they may postpone or cancel their tournaments.

For our summer program, I am officially holding off taking payments. I have refunded everyone that has made the down payment and uniform order (thank you :-) Money is going to be tight for everyone for a while and it isn't right to hold on to these sizable payments. BUT! Should WA State and the events coordinators get approval to proceed, I will send an email blast to all asking for immediate registration and down payment. I have notified our tournaments and they know our protocol and will hopefully hold our position.

PLEASE reach out to other players and have them register. We need more players at 7/8 and high school! This will help tremendously in planning for the summer.

What a fall season! Tons of improvement, tons of laughs, an awesome time with some terrific kids. Will miss this fine group of seniors, too. Most have played Kings since 7th grade.
