A Quiet Haven for the Heart
A peaceful spot in nature
is a solace for the soul,
a quiet haven for the heart,
where the world seems to loosen its grip
and we remember
how to breathe.
Beneath the patient shelter of trees,
beside the soft murmur of a stream,
or on a hillside
where the wind moves freely
through the grass,
there is a silence
unlike any other.
It is not an emptiness,
but a gentle presence,
a space where the mind grows still
and the weight of the day
begins to lift.
Thoughts that once seemed urgent
lose their sharpness,
and burdens carried for too long
begin, little by little,
to release their hold.
And so we sit.
We listen
to the rustle of leaves,
the distant call of a bird,
the delicate rhythm
of our own breath.
Slowly,
we return to ourselves.
We discover
that peace was never something
we had to chase;
it was always right here, waiting patiently
beneath the noise,
beneath the striving,
beneath the restless thoughts.
In this quiet corner of the earth,
the soul finds space
to rest.
For a moment,
there is nothing to prove,
nothing to fix,
nowhere else to be.
Only the sky above,
the earth beneath,
and the sacred simplicity
of now.
Perhaps this is why
nature feels like solace,
it reminds us
that we, too,
belong to something
slower,
deeper,
and infinitely more enduring
than the worries
of a single day.
And when we finally rise
and leave this peaceful place,
we carry a little
of its stillness with us,
a quiet reminder
that sometimes,
all the soul needs
is a moment to pause,
to breathe,
and simply be.
