5 years. Our very first Campinawe. And a whole lot of adventure. ❤️

Five years ago, Travis and Miriam Hardesty picked up their Campinawe, becoming our very first camper customers.

So when they reached out to tell us they were celebrating their camper's 5-year anniversary with a 3-week adventure through Ontario and Georgian Bay, we couldn't help but smile.

Their trip has taken them through Provincial Parks, Canadian National Parks and Hipcamps, with plenty of adventure along the way. One of the highlights was paddling out to Beausoleil Island and spending three nights at Honeymoon Bay.

When we started building Campinawes, this is exactly what we hoped for. Campers that get used, take people to incredible places, and become part of memories that last for years.

Seeing Camper #1 still out there adventuring five years later is pretty special.

Travis and Miriam, thank you for taking a chance on us five years ago and for continuing to take your Campinawe along for the ride.

Happy 5-year Camperversary! Here's to wherever the road takes you next.

Located at 21967 W 83rd St, Shawnee, KS, Campinawe is simply here to build the toughest, most adventure-ready campers on the planet and inspire people to live stories worth telling. Campinawe gives you room to breathe. With twice the cabin space of typical campers and a true full-size queen bed, you don’t have to choose between comfort and function. The cabin doubles as a mudroom and lounge, offering space for two adults to sit, take off gear, or just relax without climbing straight onto the bed. It’s the kind of thoughtful design that makes every trip feel less cramped and more like home.

We are new to the overland camper market. All of our backgrounds are in the gun safe world, and we just started Campinawe in August of last year. We are excited for this new endeavor and market.

❓ Tell us about your business.

Campinawe is a modified Teardrop Camper manufacturer and dealer. Our design is the only camper on the market with a mudroom, so you don't have to climb directly into your bed. Our units have 10X the storage, are under 2K pounds, and can fit in a regular 7 ft garage. Campinawe was originally founded in 2021 by a design firm in Bonner Springs, KS. Last August, we bought the design and really started to take it to market.

❓ What has been the most rewarding aspect of running your business in Shawnee?

It's great to run a company just 2 miles from where I grew up. Western Shawnee has always been my home and it is great being able to have our company located here.

❓ How do you see the future of your business within Shawnee?

We have plans to expand our manufacturing facility right here in Shawnee. The location and access are great for our customers.
