A journey we’ll always remember. 💛

Over the past three Reels, we’ve shared a small part of Jesus’ journey, the challenges he faced, the work he put in, and the progress he made along the way.

But behind every milestone is a person who chose to keep going, a family that never stopped believing, and a team grateful to be part of it.

Jesus, thank you for trusting NeuroWerks with such an important chapter of your story. Watching your progress, celebrating your victories, and seeing your confidence grow has meant so much to all of us.

And to your family, thank you for your trust, dedication, and partnership every step of the way.

If you've been following Jesus' journey, you know where it started.

A 15-year-old diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, unable to roll over in bed, sit independently, or stand without maximum assistance.

Then came months of hard work.

Hundreds of repetitions. Small victories.
Exercises that, to many people, might have looked simple but each one had a purpose.
And little by little…

Those exercises became ability to standing. Standing turned into first independent steps. Steps become walking with a device, then turned into independent steps, and now we are working on stairs, floor transfers, balance and the most important, confidence.

This Reel isn't just about the final result.

It's about proving that recovery is built one milestone at a time.

We're incredibly proud of Jesus not only for what he can do today, but for the determination, resilience, and commitment he showed every single day throughout his rehabilitation.

Thank you, Jesus and your family, for trusting us to be part of your journey. Watching you achieve these milestones has been an honor. 💙

In the first Reel, you saw where Jesus' journey began.

This Reel shows what most people never see: the work behind recovery.

Every exercise had a purpose.

From relearning how to activate his core…

To waking up muscles that hadn't worked for months…

To building strength, endurance, balance, trunk control, and the ability to stand against gravity.

None of these exercises were random.
Each milestone created the foundation for the next one.
Recovery after Guillain-Barré Syndrome isn't about finding one miracle exercise, it's about progressively challenging the nervous system, celebrating every small victory, and building movement one repetition at a time.

These moments may seem simple.

But they were the reason Jesus would eventually take his first independent steps again.

This is the first Reel in a 3-part series sharing Jesus' incredible recovery journey after Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

Every recovery has a beginning and this is where his story starts.
At just 16 years old, Jesus' life took an unexpected turn.

In May 2025, he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a rare autoimmune condition that attacks the peripheral nerves and can lead to severe muscle weakness or even paralysis.

Within a short period of time, Jesus lost nearly all voluntary movement throughout his body.
After weeks of hospitalization and intensive inpatient rehabilitation, his family hoped for progress but despite everyone's efforts, he returned home with very limited functional improvement.

Determined to keep searching for answers, his mom found NeuroWerks.

Progress doesn’t always happen in big, obvious moments. Sometimes, it’s found in the details. 💛

After four weeks of intensive therapy, this before-and-after highlights a meaningful change in lower-extremity positioning and alignment.

Throughout the intensive, each repetition, challenge, and purposeful adjustment was part of working toward improved motor control, functional movement, and greater independence.

At NeuroWerks, we know that meaningful progress can take many forms — and every step forward deserves to be recognized. 💛

Jamie, I am so incredibly proud of you for using your voice and sharing Juliet’s story. Your strength, courage, and willingness to speak about something so deeply personal can make a difference in ways you may never fully know.

Juliet came to NeuroWerks for her first intensive only a few months after her accident. For the past three years, we have been fighting alongside this family—working, believing, celebrating every victory, and doing everything we can to help Juliet recover and reach her fullest potential.

And if there is one thing I can say about this family, it is that they go above and beyond for Juliet. Every single day. Their love, dedication, advocacy, and commitment to her recovery are extraordinary.
