Are you doing everything you need to do for your health? If not, why not?
What’s holding you back? Time? Commitment? Motivation? Consistency?
We hear the term all the time. Even I say it to clients, but what really is Consistency when it’s related to fitness.
Is it working out 5 days a week? 3 days a week?
Going for a walk 3 days a week?
Taking the stairs instead of the elevator?
Saying no to the White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks?
Yes. Yes. Yes to all.
Consistency is the daily battle with yourself that NEVER goes away. It’s forged from discipline (NOT motivation) and all of the little decisions that you keep making that lead to better habits.
But even habits require a decision, it just becomes an easier choice over time.
Discipline = routine
Routine = habits
Habits = consistency
Consitency = progress or maintenance.
If you’re happy with where you’re at, maintenance becomes the goal, which can be a hard pill to swallow for some.
