Come run 8 miles with me while I share some ways I’m training differently for the CDA half marathon.

I’m focusing less on “doing the most” and more on doing what actually moves the needle: more midweek miles, more trails, more strength, more recovery, and actually keeping my easy runs EASY.

Next up is dialing in race pace work, but I’m not rushing it. I want to build a strong base first so it actually sticks.

All of this is leading up to the CDA Half Marathon and I’m SO excited for this one. It’s one of the most beautiful courses, the vibes are unmatched, and I’m really hoping to PR 🤞🏼

If you’re thinking about signing up, come run it with me 🫶 I would love to meet you there!!

Last call if you’ve been thinking about this one 👀

Tomorrow is the LAST day to register for the CDA Marathon, Half, 10k, or 5k before prices go up, and I truly think this is such an underrated race.

Scenic course, smaller field (aka less crowding), Memorial Day weekend, and I’m personally hoping to PR my half there. 🤞🏻

If you needed a sign, this is it. Come run it with me!!

Who’s in?! 🏃🏼‍♀️

I used to never cry.

Like… ever.

Now I’m marathon training and I cry at
my pace being slower than expected,
a song hitting a little too hard,
someone cheering on the sidelines,
and the fact that my legs still work after long runs.

Turns out marathon training builds endurance and emotional vulnerability 😅🏃‍♀️

If this is you too, send this to a runner who would understand or comment 😭 so I know I’m not alone.

8 trail miles later and this run taught me a lot.

I went back to the park where I did my very first trail run here in Idaho, but took a different trail this time to get eight miles.

The first half was basically straight uphill, which meant a lot of walking, and a big reminder that steady really does win the race out here.

Trail running is teaching me a few big things already.

🍓 Pack more hydration and fuel than you think you’ll need
🚶‍♀️ slow down without guilt
⛰️ and don’t rush the experience.

I felt great with my fuel, soaked in the views, and just enjoyed being out there - hard miles and all.

Also, listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack on a trail run is elite. 🤩 Highly recommend.

Now I’m curious, what’s the biggest lesson running has taught you? Comment below. ⬇️

I started running with zero clue what I was doing. No pace goals, no fancy gear, no idea how far a 5K even was.

Now I’ve run a lot of races, but I still remember how overwhelming the beginning felt. That’s exactly why I put together my free 5K Training Plan, it’s simple, realistic, and made for beginners who just want a clear place to start.

If running has been on your “maybe someday” list, this is your sign.

Comment 5KPLAN and I’ll send it your way. 💜

Don’t be ridiculous Andrea… everyone wants to be a runner 😅

They want the confidence, the finish line photos, the “I actually did that” feeling.

They just don’t want the awkward first runs, the walk breaks, or the learning curve that comes before it.

Friendly reminder: every runner started exactly there.

You don’t have to be fast. You don’t have to love it yet. You just have to start.

If this made you laugh and feel a little called out, send it to the friend who’s “thinking about running” but hasn’t started yet 🏃‍♀️💜

This is your sign that fitness doesn’t disappear overnight.

I didn’t plan on running four miles today. I just felt good, laced up, and went. And realizing my fitness is still there enough to do that on a random weekday feels like such a win.

I had all my go to run staples on this run, the ear warmer that actually stays put, the headphones I forget I’m wearing, a silicone ring because it’s safer to leave my real ring at home, and a Honey Stinger stroop waffle before heading out because it’s my favorite pre run fuel.

Everything I used is linked in my Amazon storefront. If you want my full list of running essentials, comment GEAR and I’ll send it your way.
