Hello all, I have finally recovered from this last week and was able to gather up all the pictures taken to make one big post together for everyone to see.
Last weekend, we hosted a Celebration of Life for Jason Oxsen. The support and turnout was an immensely beautiful thing to witness. We had 150+ people stop through during the day, many staying for the full 6 hours we were there. The weather cleared up for a beautiful day overall. We had good food for everyone, We had people putting and throwing all day, we had memories shared, laughs had, and tears shed.
We had a massive Raffle that helped raise money to go towards expenses for the family related to Jason's passing. Jason always wanted "the biggest raffles" for any event he was a part of, and let me tell you, this was the raffle of all raffles. It was truly awesome to witness.
As it got to dark, we had a solid 30+ people together for a candle light vigil, and let me tell you all, that was one of the most beautiful things I have ever had the honor of witnessing. We cried, we took turns sharing memories, and we extinguished our candles with Jason watching over us all.
Thank you to everyone that helped to make this go so smoothly and enjoyable for everyone attending.
ZÜCA, Inc. for donating 2 carts to the raffle, and everyone else that contributed to prizes for the raffle,
Joe Plehal for hooking us up with tables and chairs, and JR J Harrell for bringing them out,
Andrew Whorton for the BBQ's, cooking food, and JR as well on the cooking.
Linda Solari for getting the beautiful picture of Jason made into a poster board, and for coming down and grabbing most of these pictures.
Chris Smith for bringing his PA system down.
Mark, Brendan and Amber for making the trip here to witness this community, and helping all morning to set up.
And for anyone else who brought food, helped set up or clean up, or was just present, we appreciate each and every one of you.
Thank you everyone once again, much love to all.
