Doidge Motorsports has a long history in racing ranging from cars, go-karts, and boats. Chuck Doidge started racing Quarter Midgets in 1957 at the age of 11 and Doidge Racing was established by Tom Doidge. Chuck’s family has been racing boats since 1961 when his father Tom raced in the Pacific One Design Hyrdo (PODH) class. Chuck and his brother Danny went on to race in the Hydroplane classes. In
1972 Chuck married Jeannie whose father Leo Bonner raced K-boats. With racing roots on both sides it was inevitable that Donald and Jeff would catch the racing bug. Donald has had an interest in cars from an early age and has worked on many race cars including currently being part of the crew for a nostalgic funny car. Jeff likes being in the driver seat and raced go-karts for several years and started out his boat racing career in the Nostalgic flat class. After Chuck’s father Tom built his first cracker box for Chuck’s brother Danny, Chuck and his sons decided they wanted to venture into the cracker box class as well. Tom built a second cracker box and thus Doidge Motorsports was established with the debut of P-94 High Maintenance. Donald and Jeff have both taken turns at the wheel of the cracker box. Donald rides when Jeff is driving and when Donald is driving Justin is in the rider’s seat. Jeff is now taking on a new racing endeavor and venturing into the SE class with his SE15 That Boat. Keeping with the family tradition Chuck & Jeannie’s grandson Garrett has started racing in the stock outboard class with plans to unseat his uncles in the cracker box. All of this would not be possible without the help and dedication of family and friends and the support of our sponsors Chuck Doidge Heating and Air, Nick Rose Insurance, QMP Racing Engines, A&G Lumber, Cutting Edge Props, DMP Fasteners.
