The 3rd annual Sand Creek 4k hosted by Justin Wolf and Family took place in Colby, KS this past weekend. Targets ranged from 1,517 yards out to 3,692 yards for the 2 day event.

Team Cutting Edge Bullets was represented by members Glenn Swaggart, Gabriel Swaggart and Steve Ream.

Youngest member Gabriel Swaggart took the top spot again with his .416STC using our 500gr Lazers. Gabriel came off of Day 1 in 27th place with just over 5,000 points and 2 impacts. He came into Day 2 with a vengeance. 3rd and 5th round impacts at 2 miles and a new personal best with a 2nd round impact at 2.1 miles was enough to give him the win for the weekend. Fellow team members Glenn Swaggart and Steve Ream were his spotters for the day. Awesome job team!

Over the next few weeks we are going to introduce you to our Team Cutting Edge Bullets members. These guys attend many matches throughout the season. They've been working closely with the Rookie class at the Spearpoint Ranch matches and are willing to lend a hand whenever possible.

This weeks spotlight is on Ryan Cheney ELR

Name/General Location - Ryan Cheney, Conway Springs KS

How long have you been shooting Extreme Long Range? - I started dabbling in ELR back in 2013 when I had a custom 338 Lapua built, but I didn't shoot my first competition until the first prototype match at Spearpoint in the fall of 2017.

What drew you to Extreme Long Range competitive shooting? - ELR was inevitable to me, as I started with a 308, then into a 6.5 creed, and as I strived for further and further impacts, I felt the urge to build the 338 Lapua that started it all. It was just a quest to continually push the limits.

What is your biggest accomplishment to date? - My biggest accomplishment thus far would be coming 2nd place at King of 2 Miles in 2021

What are your goals for the 2023 season? - My goal for 2023 is to be hailed as the best solo ELR shooter in the world

Tell us about your set up. - This season I am running a 416 Stroker built by Sterling Precision. It has a Pierce 10x lefty action, a Bartlein 9 twist barrel, Manners LRT carbon fiber stock. I run the Triggertech diamond 2 stage trigger, Terminator T5 muzzle brake and an Accu-Tac WB4 bipod. I run the Nightforce Atacr 7-35 mil-c, in a Spuhr mount. I run the Cutting Edge 500 grain Lazers at about 2900 fps. It's really just the perfect ELR setup, extremely hard to beat.

The Moccasin Valley Precision Clinch Mountain Clash took place over the weekend in Virginia.

Nearly 60 shooters were in attendance representing both light and heavy classes.

Team Cutting Edge Bullets member Dwayne Russell took the top spot in the light class using his 300 Norma paired with our 230gr Lazers. Incredible shooting Dwayne!

The top 10 shooters in Heavy were all using Cutting Edge Bullets 🎉🎉🎉
