Lexi is the definition of an outstanding lifeguard! She is always tuned in, eager to learn, and asks thoughtful questions during every in-service. When it's time to practice our EAPs, Lexi is one of the first to jump in and get hands-on experience. Her commitment to safety and continuous growth is truly remarkable. Whether she's scanning top to bottom or staying prepared for any situation, Lexi consistently helps keep our pool safe. We are so lucky to have such a phenomenal guard on our team!

It’s a simple message, but an important one, especially when we consider the tragic drowning statistics that remain true today.

Learning to swim is about more than just being in the water. It’s about building the skills that help kids stay safer. Skills like learning how to float, knowing to turn and move to the wall, and how to respond in an unexpected water situation.

It’s one of the most common questions parents ask, especially as summer approaches.

Many toddlers can begin swim lessons earlier than parents expect. At this stage, lessons focus on building comfort in the water while introducing foundational water safety skills alongside a parent or caregiver.

Over time, toddlers start developing important abilities like floating, moving through the water with support, and responding to simple instructions. All of these things contribute to safer behavior around water.

Learning to swim is a process, and starting early helps build skills, see real progress, and gain confidence step by step.
