Message to all Bubbler players from Coach Freier:
I am extremely grateful for the hard work of each and everyone of you. You are truly extraordinary for having the courage to play this amazing game. Over thirteen remarkable seasons, I have been inspired by your willingness to suit up and compete regardless of the odds.
The death of my father this summer started an uncertain chain of events in the life of our family. We are not sure yet where it will take us. What is certain is that we are making a number life-changing decisions that may or may not see us staying in central Pennsylvania.
As we work through these major decisions, I do not want to be distracted from the important mission of leading this team. It would not be fair to you and it would put a great deal of pressure on my family.
It is at times like these, that you absolutely must have your priorities right. I do not wish to make life harder for either my family or our magnificent Bubbler players. As a result, I have resigned as head football coach. It is not without a great deal of regret but I am certain it is the right thing to do.
The greatest honors so far in my life have been to raise an incredible family, serve my country as a career Army officer, and wear the uniform of the Bubblers for the previous 13 incredible seasons. That is not likely to change. I am especially honored to be able to call myself a Bubbler!
During the season, we talked about living up to the obligations associated with wearing that purple and gold uniform. We frequently talked about the team's core values--loyalty, duty, respect, selflessness, honor, integrity, personal courage, and self-control. We also talked about the qualities of character, commitment, discipline, intensity, and effort as keys to unlocking your success now and in the future. Because you have the courage to wear the uniform and as you learn the value of the above qualities in your life, you will forever be well-armed to seize ever opportunity put in front of you.
Be proud that you are a Bubbler, be great teammates to one another, take care of each other and of those who would benefit from your commitment and protection, and, finally, guard the legacy we have all worked very hard to build over time.
I love you all very much and am proud of all we have experienced and accomplished together. Good luck and don't be strangers. I will always be there for you.
Go Bubblers!
