Hello Fellow Shooters,
Six competitors attended the December Field Target monthly match and were blessed with perfect temperatures and virtually no wind for the event. This is a good number for our little club despite having an outstanding venue and the nicest people in all of world! Our old friend Carlos G. joined us, we haven’t seen him in literally years! Alex H. shot his second ever match and showed improvement and will continue to do so, as he works hard at this challenging sport.. Billy D. brought his P*P as he fears facing Robert D. in the piston class. Jim C. beat all comers showing why he’s the #2 national shooter.

Our 10meter Silhouette Event Continues to grow and evolve under the leadership of Scotty H and Glenn D. This was our fourth match for this event. The competition was held after Field Target and lunch starting at 1 pm on the 50 yard bench rest field. The facility allows ‘older’ people to shoot offhand while younger folks can shoot the same targets/at the same time using the benchrest tables. Most folks shoot 10 meter rifles with peep sights or red dot while some use higher power air guns and/or scopes. Using some magnification reduces some of the difficulty of shooting at the little metal critters but it’s still challenging. Starting next month we hope to add a longer range NRA type lane. This will allow people using field target equipment to get some great practice for that discipline. See our page for pics.
We decimated chickens, pigs, turkeys, and rams at 10, 15, 20, and 25 yards. None of the little metal creatures were hurt and had almost fun as the people! 40 total points were possible.
First time shooters are free! then $10 adults, $5 small people 12 years old, or less
