Yes, Black Diamond competes. 🥊🥋

Competition is part of who we are. Our coaches have competed, trained, and coached at the highest levels of combat sports. They’ve spent years preparing for competition, performing under pressure, and helping others do the same.

But we don’t train only for competition.

Our experience extends beyond the cage and the mats. Real-life combat experience matters. Those situations aren’t controlled. There are no rules, no rounds, and no reset button.

That’s why we train the way we do.

We’re not here to create people who can simply perform techniques in a gym. We’re here to build people who can fight, think, adapt, and perform under pressure.

WE ARE WHO WE SAY WE ARE.

Last night, we went into enemy territory with four fighters making their kickboxing debuts.

Four fighters. Four fights. And three of our opponents missed weight.

Chance Rademacher’s fight was ultimately canceled by the commission because of the severity of his opponent’s weight miss. Even then, Chance wanted to fight.

That tells you something about the people we are building.

Timothy Isaac went the distance and lost a close decision to a very game opponent. He fought hard and represented Black Diamond the right way.

Omar battled through the second round before the fight was stopped due to leg kicks. Another hard lesson. Another opportunity to grow.

And kyle delivered a statement—third-round TKO against an experienced opponent who was specifically picked to beat him.

But the results aren’t the only thing we’re proud of.

All four of our fighters made weight. All four accepted the challenge. All four showed discipline, composure, and courage.

That’s Black Diamond.

We don’t just train for trophies.

We train for competition, the ring, the cage, and the real-world situations that demand more from you.

But most importantly, we train for life.

Integrity.
Discipline.
Humility.
Faith.
Family.
Service.
Character.

Those things come first.

The champions are forged through them.

We hold a standard here. We expect our students to grow—not just as martial artists, but as human beings. When the pressure comes, we don’t make excuses. We learn. We adapt. We get better.

Last night wasn’t perfect.

It didn’t need to be.

It was real.

And pressure has a way of revealing exactly what you’re made of.

We are who we say we are.

Forward with purpose.

Got my ears lowered this afternoon Good to Go Barbershop as I head out of town to watch our fighters represent at Rise Fighting Championship in Victoria.

My boys and I have been going to see Javier and Jay for years and they always take care of us. G2G also supports other local business like Black Diamond.
