Saveoceanbreeze SAVE Ocean Breeze Golf Course: a golf landmark; a place for children to learn the discipline and for all residents to stay active and healthy for life.

We purchased our home in East Boca Raton after witnessing the smiling faces of children taking lessons and enjoying time with their families on the Ocean Breeze golf course. My son has adored going to this golf course with his dad since he was barely walking. Unfortunately, this public golf course and local landmark (built in 1968) has closed its doors only to be sold to a home developer with plans to replace the beautiful green space and recreational area with hundreds of homes in an already over-developed area with no other public golf courses left to be enjoyed.

Successful parks and recreational space are the markers of healthy communities: children play, families spend time together, people of all ages exercise and relax; and the green space adds to the beauty, security and economic value of the neighborhood. Once green space disappears, it is gone forever.

Publicly managed parks and golf courses have long been an important part of Boca Raton’s image of itself: a high quality of life tied to a beautiful environment in a community built to encourage active healthy living.

Please help us keep this invaluable green space for our children and ask our City officials to do whatever they can to save Ocean Breeze from becoming an unnecessary build site for an already over-developed community.
