Lynn Debate wins divisional State Championship!
Lynn Debate traveled to Orlando for the FIFA State Championships hosted at University of Central Florida. We performed well across all forms of debate on offer, leading to Lynn being recognized as the top team overall in the limited entry division!
Lynn Debaters had some great performances at the state championships: Team Captain Renee Barrett advanced to the finals of Lincoln Douglas debate, the best performance from a Lynn debater in this format. Along with her partner, Gianlucca Lima, she advanced to the semifinals of British Parliamentary debate as well. She placed 6th overall for the “Citrus Debater Award” given to the best debater across all formats of debate. Drew Ironshield was 3rd speaker in LD; Kaylynn Diebold was 6th in BP. Coaches Eric Hamm and Kate Hamm are very proud of the competitors:
