This afternoon there were 38 tarpon released in the first day of the 2022 World's Richest Tarpon Tournament. Capt. Wayne Joiner and the team aboard Hey, Moma! are in the lead with eight releases. We have Spooked Again, Boca Blue, Family Tradition with four releases. Miss Aubrey Blaze have three releases. Searene and Jill Marie have two releases. Outta Line, Last Call, Sabalo, Had 'em, Sitarah and Ohana have one release each.
First fish of the day was released by the Hey, Moma! team, and last fish of the day was released by the Family Tradition team. They will both get cash prizes for those tarpon.
It was a good bite and the tarpon are looking to be pretty good-sized. Well done, captains and anglers!
Don't forget that day two of fishing will start tomorrow at 3:30 and end at 7:30. The awards party will be held downtown and will begin at 7:30, complete with a band and beverages.

Fall fishing was warming up before the cold came to visit.

Sunday afternoon we fished the second annual Red Gill Tarpon Tournament and took home 1st place. Last year we took second. I can't wait for next year. Little Seth caught the first fish for our team 2 years in a row! So proud of my little angler and my team!
