Today’s practice looked a little different and it was a good one!

We got to watch #2 in 5A Boaz take down 6A Oxford 8-2. Great game to learn from.

Coach Ashlee’s pitcher, Bailey Lusk, went the distance—7 strong innings with 6 strikeouts. The girls loved getting to watch her compete and handle a full game.

Afterward, Lexie Bennett, Grier Maples, and Peyton Hall spent time working with the girls, which made the day even better.

A lot of learning, a lot of fun, and exactly the kind of day that helps these girls grow in their love of the game. 🥎🔥

We are proud of our girls for finishing 3-1 this weekend and earning Gold Bracket Runner-Up.

They competed hard all day and never backed down. We saw slower pitching in pool play, and it ended up giving us trouble in the championship game—but that’s just part of it.

We’ll take this as a lesson, get better at making quicker adjustments, and come back even stronger next time.
