If you are looking for a horse to foster or adopt, or have a horse that needs to be placed, feel free to post here. I usually get people contacting me about horses that need placement ASAP near the end of winter, when the owner is desperate or the horses are losing weight.
Don’t wait to place your horse until you are unable to reach their needs. Don’t wait to provide a home until riding weather is here.
If you wish to donate hay to those who are looking for homes for their horses, or you are looking to place your horse because of inability to care for it, please contact me. I do not help feed horses of people who are trying to keep numerous horses without the ability to care for them.
Please be responsible to our hooved friends and keep only what you can support, and we will help find homes for those that need them. I know this sounds harsh, but it breaks my heart to see horses in extremely poor condition. Those who know me know I have no social skills with people, so I am rather blunt. I do not wish to offend, but to lie to save someone’s sensibilities it disingenuous.
Let’s be good stewards of these under our care, give when you can, help where you are able, and be strong enough to ask for help when it is needed.

***UPDATE HOMED***
OTTB Mare, approx 18yrs old, 16++hh. Hasn't been ridden for 2 yrs, Until I picked her up she was just a pasture pet. In the last week I have lunged her, loaded and hauled her. Sat on her ba****ck. Rode her once around yard with English saddle. Needs riding. Did not buck or rear, just wasn't thrilled about the whole idea. Needs conditioning. I was told she is good in hand but doesn't tie well. I tied her in trailer, she again wasn't thrilled but couldn't do much about it. Seems to load great, but is in a hurry to turn and get out. I have picked up all feet. Needs her feet done. I will try to get them done in the next few days, but with my arthritis I can sometimes only do one foot a day. She is very easy to catch, likes treats and scratches just fine. Lovely movement. She is a bit thinner than I like, but not bad. I do not have a good place to retrain her as I do not currently have a round pen or areana. She has a $300 rehoming fee. Located in Sequim, WA
I currently have a possible home offer, but it is 400 miles away. If I cannot find her a local home before my next trip to Spokane, she will go there.
