Working with the half bat to get the barrel into the zone & keep good hinge at the contact point—great for hitters who tend to go backside often or struggle to pull the ball with consistency.

HIP MOBILITY IS ESSENTIAL FOR ATHLETES
The hips connect your upper & lower halves, directly impacting your speed, power, & overall movement efficiency. When hip mobility is limited, other parts of the body (lower back/knees) will compensate and cause an increased risk of injury while hindering your overall performance.

These are just a few of my staple band prep exercises I like to do before I get into any throwing—PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR ARMS! There are obviously plenty of other exercises out there that are good ones for prepping the shoulder/elbow joints, but just make sure you’re choosing some & rolling with them! ➡️ All exercises should be done for sets of 2 at 10-15 reps! BOTH ARMS!

The front foot slide drill is awesome for hitters who have a hard time controlling their stride foot/forward move in the swing. This drill helps teach a stable, slow stride so that the hitter can stay loaded in their move & adjustable on the pitch!

Viparita Karani is a passive yoga pose where you put your legs up on the wall to improve lower extremity circulation. This essentially means that it’s going to reduce fluid retention in the legs & help flush out the muscles a little bit. This paired with some light, active movement is KEY for leg recovery🔑🔑🔑
