The artificial turf field is a shared resource intended to support Bluffton athletic programs and the broader school community by providing a safe and high-quality surface for practice and training. In addition, during the school day students will be able to play on the surface all year long.

Scheduling Priorities: The turf will be scheduled by the Bluffton Athletic Department and will give preference to Bluffton HS teams and Marching Band whenever possible. In-season sports will have priority in the school system. We look for this field to be used by HS teams, MS teams, youth programs such as midget football, youth soccer, etc.
General Guidelines
All team use must be scheduled through the Athletic Director’s office.
Only authorized team representatives may request turf time. All teams looking to use the facility will need to be scheduled by the Athletic Department and fill out a digital request to use the field.
Practices should be scheduled for time on turf only. (Ex- if scheduling field from 3:30-5:00… be sure to be using the field during that entire time).
Coaches and athletes are expected to:
o Arrive and exit on time to allow for smooth transitions.
o Use only permitted equipment (no metal cleats, no sleds or heavy equipment without approval).
o Clean up all trash and belongings after each session.
Teams should rotate use to avoid excessive wear in specific areas of the turf.
Lighting will be available until 9:00pm. Lights will be on a schedule to be turned off each night by 9PM.
No electrical amplification of sound on or nearby the field.
Public Use Guidelines
The turf is open for the public when it is not reserved by an athletic team or band scheduled by Bluffton Athletic Department.
A schedule of reserved times will be posted online.
No organized team practices may take place during public access hours unless previously scheduled through the athletic department.
Recreational users of the field will yield space to the organized team that is scheduled
Public users must:
o Follow the guidelines/rules for the field.
o Refrain from using prohibited equipment (metal cleats, wheels, goals without anchors, etc.).
o Treat the facility with care and respect.
Prohibited Activities-To maintain the integrity of the turf, the following are not permitted:
Pets
Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, or anything motorized
Food, sunflower seeds, gum or to***co
Water preferred, please do not spill colored drinks
Enforcement & Consequences:
