Join us this morning at Roush Park pavilion at 9am for Mark's Ark! You won't want to miss this fun and educational program, bring your friends! Mark's Ark is bringing wild things to Bluffton Indiana at Roush Park Large Pavilion on Thursday, June 11th at 9am.
Mark's Ark, owned and operated by Mark Kohlhorst, presents a variety of critters and an entertaining show for all ages. Mark presents animals in a hands-on, friendly presentation with humor and taste and assures that all animals are safe and handled appropriately. Mark has a great sense of humor and looks the part of an animal handler in his safari clothes and wide-brimmed, outback style hat. This FREE event is sponsored by Erin Daugherty of State Farm!

Events for today Thursday, June 11th:

FREE TENNIS LESSONS- Monday – Friday, June 1st to June 19th at Lion’s Park, weather permitting. Parents must fill out a registration form the first day the child attends, and we recommend bringing your racquet if you own one. (Follow Bluffton Parks on Facebook for weather-related delays) Class is determined by the grade the student will enter or by being age 5 by June 1st:
9:15- 10:15 am 5 years to 1st grade (Mondays only)
9:15 – 10: 15am 2nd – 4th grade (Tuesday – Friday)
10:15 – 11:15am 5th – high school (Monday-Friday)

Log your Running or Biking Mileage. Earn some cool swag AND meet your milage goals.

The miles that you get from normal steps taken during the day do not count. Miles that you intentionally run or walk for exercise, do count! Keep track in the following ways:

Treadmill/indoor or outdoor walking and running, intended to cover a distance - COUNTS!

JUNE 1 - CHALLENGE STARTS start tracking your miles on Strava or manually on your milage log.
JUNE 24 - T-shirts ready for pick up
AUGUST 1 - Begin mailing t-shirts and medals to participants selecting packet mailing during registration. In-person medal pick up begins.
AUGUST 31 - Challenge ends

PICNIC IN THE PARK – Children aged 18 and under are invited to enjoy a FREE lunch every weekday from 10:30-12:30 pm at Roush Park (925 W Silver) starting June 1st to June 30th. This program is provided by the Bluffton Harrison Metropolitan Schools and is open to youth from any district. No registration is required; simply stop by the park pavilion Monday – Friday for a free balanced meal. Meals must be eaten on-site. Adult cost $3.40 for lunch.

FREE INTRO TO PICKLEBALL - Adults and teens over 16 are invited to learn the fun and fast-paced game of Pickleball. Join volunteer instructor Rick King on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the months of June, July, and August at Lancaster Park (200 E. Jackson) Pickleball Courts, starting at 10 am.

Mark’s Ark Animal Demonstration - Mark's Ark is bringing wild things to Bluffton Indiana at Roush Park Large Pavilion on June 11th at 9am. Mark’s Ark, owned and operated by Mark Kohlhorst, presents a variety of critters and an entertaining show for all ages. Mark presents animals in a hands-on, friendly presentation with humor and taste and assures that all animals are safe and handled appropriately. Mark has a great sense of humor and looks the part of an animal handler in his safari clothes and wide-brimmed, outback style hat. This FREE event is sponsored by Erin Daugherty of State Farm!

Tot Time Tuesday and Thursdays - Children ages 2-5yrs are invited to join us at Roush Park (925 W Silver) for some fun in the sun from 9:00-9:30am. This is a drop in event and adults can plan to stay and play with their child. This event cancels in poor weather so, check the Bluffton Parks page for announcements. June 11th - Mark's Ark 9-10am for all ages, June 16th - Chalk it up, June 18th - Puzzle Day, June 23rd - Messy Art, June 25th - Play Day (Toys, Chalk Obstacle Course, and Yoga Poses.)

Splash Pads – are located at 304 E. Washington St. at Pickett's Run Park & 925 W Silver Street at Roush Park. Hours are 11am-7pm.

Wells Community Aquatic Park- is located at 304 West Spring Street. Pool hours are 12-6 pm 7 days a week, weather permitting, opening Memorial Weekend – Aug 9th, and then only open on weekends until Aug 30th. The pool is available for private rentals by calling the pool at 824-1550. Daily Admissions: Adult (18+) $6; Youth (3-17yrs) $5; 2 & under free w/ paid ADULT (Limit 3 children per paid adult). Daily discounts are $4 admissions for all ages from 4-6pm only. Ticket Savings Package: 20 tickets for $100. Tickets are suitable for all ages and days during the 2026 season.

We had foam fun for everyone this afternoon at Pickett's Run park by the splash pad! A huge shout out to Sonlight kids for coming out and handing out hand towels, water and popsicles to the kids to help them stay cool in this summer heat! Foam party is an annual event, so if you missed this time around we will be back again next summer!

The foam machine has been delivered and will be ready for all the Foam Fun that starts at 2:00 this afternoon at Pickett's Run park by the Splash pad! Foam Party on Wednesday, June 10th at 2PM at Pickett's Run by the Splash Pad (304 E. Washington)! Due to the hot weather in the forecast, make sure you bring a water bottle to stay hydrated! The splash pad will be available to cool off in as well!
Foam fun for the whole family. Bring a towel and wear your swimsuit to the Splash Pad on the corner of Washington and Bennett street. This is a FREE drop-in event. Children will be invited into the foam by age groups starting with the smallest visitors first. Don't forget the camera!

Congratulations to every single runner and walker who crushed the 5 in 5 5K last night!
You didn't just beat the course—you beat the heat. Stepping up for our 2nd 5K of the series in 85-degree weather with serious humidity takes some real grit.
Thanks to your incredible energy, we didn't just match our past turnouts—we shattered them. A record-breaking 220 people showed up and sweated it out together!

If you haven't had a chance to preorder yet, these are the stuffed animals that we have left to choose from. Bluffton Parks Dept Stuff & Fluff Workshop!
Monday June 22nd 10-10:30am. Some animals are already sold out! You still have a couple of weeks to pre-order! These are the animals still available, until we are sold out! When ordering by email, please include your name, your child's name and age, a contact phone number and which animal they would like to order (and a 2nd option in case the 1st option is no longer available).
Bring that special child in your life for a memorable day they will never forget. Watch their eyes light up as the two of you make an adorable stuffed animal to take home. This event is being held June 22nd, from 10-10:30am at the Roush Park Large Pavilion. The cost to participate is only $15 per child (payment taken day of the event) and is open to both boys and girls. Email [email protected] or call 824-6069 to register and pick out your animal until we are sold out (Animals are limited until supplies last, so have a 2nd option available).
