Upcoming events for Thursday, June 11th:
FREE TENNIS LESSONS- Monday – Friday, June 1st to June 19th at Lion’s Park, weather permitting. Parents must fill out a registration form the first day the child attends, and we recommend bringing your racquet if you own one. (Follow Bluffton Parks on Facebook for weather-related delays) Class is determined by the grade the student will enter or by being age 5 by June 1st:
9:15- 10:15 am 5 years to 1st grade (Mondays only)
9:15 – 10: 15am 2nd – 4th grade (Tuesday – Friday)
10:15 – 11:15am 5th – high school (Monday-Friday)

The miles that you get from normal steps taken during the day do not count. Miles that you intentionally run or walk for exercise, do count! Keep track in the following ways:

CHALLENGE RULES:
Treadmill/indoor or outdoor walking and running, intended to cover a distance - COUNTS!
Stationary/indoor or outdoor cycling, intended to cover a distance - COUNTS!
Steps walking around your home/office - DON'T COUNT.
EXAMPLES: Walk to and from work every day - COUNTS! Steps around work, to and from colleges office - DON'T COUNT. Steps around the house / normal activity - DON'T COUNT. Walking miles with my dog- COUNTS! It's all about intention to cover a distance. IMPORTANT DATES:
JUNE 1 - CHALLENGE STARTS start tracking your miles on Strava or manually on your milage log.
JUNE 24 - T-shirts ready for pick up
AUGUST 1 - Begin mailing t-shirts and medals to participants selecting packet mailing during registration. In-person medal pick up begins.
AUGUST 31 - Challenge ends
PICNIC IN THE PARK – Children aged 18 and under are invited to enjoy a FREE lunch every weekday from 10:30-12:30 pm at Roush Park (925 W Silver) starting June 1st to June 30th. This program is provided by the Bluffton Harrison Metropolitan Schools and is open to youth from any district. No registration is required; simply stop by the park pavilion Monday – Friday for a free balanced meal. Meals must be eaten on-site. Adult cost $3.40 for lunch.
FREE INTRO TO PICKLEBALL - Adults and teens over 16 are invited to learn the fun and fast-paced game of Pickleball. Join volunteer instructor Rick King on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the months of June, July, and August at Lancaster Park (200 E. Jackson) Pickleball Courts, starting at 10 am.
Mark’s Ark Animal Demonstration - Mark's Ark is bringing wild things to Bluffton Indiana at Roush Park Large Pavilion on June 11th at 9am. Mark’s Ark, owned and operated by Mark Kohlhorst, presents a variety of critters and an entertaining show for all ages. Mark presents animals in a hands-on, friendly presentation with humor and taste and assures that all animals are safe and handled appropriately. Mark has a great sense of humor and looks the part of an animal handler in his safari clothes and wide-brimmed, outback style hat. This FREE event is sponsored by Erin Daugherty of State Farm!
Tot Time Tuesday and Thursdays - Children ages 2-5yrs are invited to join us at Roush Park (925 W Silver) for some fun in the sun from 9:00-9:30am. This is a drop in event and adults can plan to stay and play with their child. This event cancels in poor weather so, check the Bluffton Parks page for announcements. June 11th - Mark's Ark 9-10am for all ages, June 16th - Chalk it up, June 18th - Puzzle Day, June 23rd - Messy Art, June 25th - Play Day (Toys, Chalk Obstacle Course, and Yoga Poses.)
Splash Pads – are located at 304 E. Washington St. at Pickett's Run Park & 925 W Silver Street at Roush Park. Hours are 11am-7pm.
Wells Community Aquatic Park- is located at 304 West Spring Street. Pool hours are 12-6 pm 7 days a week, weather permitting, opening Memorial Weekend – Aug 9th, and then only open on weekends until Aug 30th. The pool is available for private rentals by calling the pool at 824-1550. Daily Admissions: Adult (18+) $6; Youth (3-17yrs) $5; 2 & under free w/ paid ADULT (Limit 3 children per paid adult). Daily discounts are $4 admissions for all ages from 4-6pm only. Ticket Savings Package: 20 tickets for $100. Tickets are suitable for all ages and days during the 2026 season.
