Amber is one of the biggest drivers of my WHY. 🖤
So… story time.

I trained Amber all through Covid — first virtually, then outside in my garage. And I’ll never forget the conversations we had mid-workout… her venting about symptoms that were taking over her life, and doctors brushing it off, gaslighting her, refusing deeper testing… and pushing the same “solutions” over and over: birth control, antidepressants, and a shrug.

(If you’ve been there… I see you. 😩)

By that point, I had already learned SO much from my own healing journey, and in my gut I knew there were a handful of tests that could help Amber finally connect the dots.

But I was stuck.

I didn’t have access to functional testing or even the conventional labs I wanted. All I could do was tell her what to ask for… and unfortunately, it was like hitting a brick wall.

I was beyond frustrated — because I felt like I knew what was going on… but I couldn’t get her the answers.

Fast forward to today: Amber circled back to me after my additional formal education in functional nutrition. And we finally ran the testing I always believed she needed.

And yep… we got answers. Tough ones. But ANSWERS.

Amber has put in the work with her healing plan for the last 8 months, and this woman right here has dropped her symptom questionnaire score from 194 down to 42!!!!!

We’ve still got some rebalancing and optimizing to do — but she got her life back.

And THAT is my why. 🖤

Channeling my inner this week with my first organic collards harvest! 🌿🖤

When I was deep in my MCAS years, I got really good at avoiding everything I couldn’t eat. And yes — a therapeutic diet can be a total game-changer in a healing journey!

But what Dr. Wahls reminded me (and what I had to learn the hard way) is this: healing isn’t only about removing inflammatory foods… it’s also about rebuilding with the nutrients your body desperately needs.

So I present to you: my first organic winter cruciferous garden + true “farm-to-table” collards on the plate tonight 🥬

Valentine’s Day shouldn’t mean missing out! 🖤

If you live with food sensitivities, inflammation, histamine issues, or gut reactions… holidays can feel more stressful than sweet.

So instead of skipping the treats, I make my own!

These Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Hearts are:

✔️ Gluten-free
✔️ Dairy-free (if you choose the right chocolate)
✔️ No refined sugar
✔️ Simple, anti-inflammatory ingredients

And yes… I made them in heart shapes this year because we deserve cute things too. 💕

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:
⚫ 1 cup almond or peanut butter
⚫ 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
⚫ 1/2 cup coconut flour
⚫ 2 tbsp coconut oil
⚫ 2 cup chocolate chips (dairy-free if needed)
⚫ Silicone heart mold

Directions:
1️⃣ Mix nut butter, maple syrup, and coconut flour in a bowl.
2️⃣ Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil.
3️⃣ Pour a small layer of chocolate in the base of the heart molds
4️⃣ Freeze for 10 minutes
5️⃣ Press the nut butter mixture into each mold and cover with more melted chocolate.
6️⃣ Freeze for 1 hour.

Pop those babies out of the mold and enjoy! You don’t have to give up everything you love to heal. You just might have to get a little creative. 🖤

Holidays don’t have to mean suffering through symptoms. A little intention, a little grace, and a lot of self-respect can change everything!

This is the new filter vs the old one I just replaced in our air purifier at the 6-month mark.

And here’s the part that really gets me…

Our home is mold-free after YEARS of effort. We are not living casually when it comes to air quality.

Here’s what we actively do:
• HVAC ducts professionally cleaned every 18 months (shoutout )
• Dehumidifier installed in our HVAC system → humidity stays ~40%
• UV light in the system
• AC filters changed every 3 months
• 6 air purifiers running 24/7

…and THIS is what the filter still looks like after 6 months 😳

It made me stop and think —

If our filter looks like this with all of these safeguards in place…what does the air look like in homes where mold, moisture, or poor ventilation hasn’t been addressed yet?

😱 Quick stat:
Indoor air can be 2–5x more polluted than outdoor air — and in some cases, up to 100x worse (EPA).

🚩 Signs your indoor air quality might be an issue:
• Musty or earthy smells
• Bubbling or cracking paint
• Buckling floors or warped baseboards
• Chronic sinus issues, headaches, fatigue
