So proud of our inaugural girls bowling team! They have had to bowl a member short for the last few weeks of the season and still managed to come in 3rd at the conference championships and were ahead of two teams after the three regular games at sectionals yesterday, falling to those two teams after the bakers by only 23 pins. The future is bright for these ladies and the Bluffton girls varsity team!

Boys varsity is at the Kenton Holiday Baker Tournament today. Last year was our first showing and we qualified for the bracket as the 6th seed but went home in the first round. This year we have qualified 2nd with bracket play starting in 20 minutes. Bluffton beat out 13 other teams after 10 baker games to earn their 2nd place finish in qualifying rounds. Bluffton will take on Kenton, the home team and 7th seed going into the bracket. Each round consists of 3 games. Unlike qualifying the total pins does not determine who moves on but the team who wins 2 out of 3 head-to-head baker games will advance. Good luck boys!

🎳 AN AWESOME DAY IN BLUFFTON!! 🎳

Ladies and gentlemen, I had a spectacular morning and early afternoon! Today, several 8th grade students from Bluffton Middle School (Bluffton Athletic Backers) joined me for December’s segment of Beyond the Classroom with Conner Prince at Southgate Lanes Inc in Bluffton! These 8th graders not only learned about the bowling industry and what it takes to operate a bowling alley, but I taught them how to conduct a professional interview and made THEM the person in-charge asking the questions. These kids were amazing, and I am so proud of them!

I want to continue to extend my sincerest appreciation and gratitude to Kevin Evers and the whole crew at Village Hardware in Leipsic and Findlay for their sponsorship behind this series. With their sponsorship, we are making the difference in the lives of many kids within our schools and helping them prepare for the real world! Bluffton boys finished strong today at the State Kick Off Tournament earning top 8 out of 28 teams after losing to the number one seed in the second round of bracket play.
