Hey there,
Bring out your Squirrel Gun from the back of the safe, clean it up and get ready for a fun match this Saturday, the 10th of May at 10am.

This match will have the price of the gun limited to $750, so don't be worried about being priced out with super fancy guns. If the guns are wearing scopes, they are limited to $1000. You will be shooting from the left side benches in an elimination format. Bipod or bag allowed. Scopes are limited to 12 power max.

Shots are from 15 yards with irons or peeps, and 25 yards with the up to 12x scope or red dot. You will have 10 minutes for 10 shots on a target, which is 6" SR 21. Scoring is X, 10, 9, 8, etc.

Price is $15 per class, $25 if shooting both classes, $5 for each additional gun. Minimum of 50 rounds, depending on eliminations, and sight-ins, limited sight-ins allowed.

If this turns out to be well attended, we may try to make this an annual event. So try and attend this event, and we will do our part.

Also, if we have any R.O.s that can spare some time between 9-1, we really can use a hand at the upper range for Scouts shooting bb, slingshot and bow & arrow. Here is some more information on two special events Triangle Sportsmen's Club has coming your way this month. We have our annual Youth Day coming up on the 14th of this month. It is free for the kids, and is being held from 1-4:30 pm at our lower range. WE will provide the ammunition and fi****ms, so this is truly free. Door prizes will be drawn at 4, and you must be there for the drawing. You won't want to miss it! See this flyer for more information.

Also, the local Toys For Tots Seasonal kickoff will be on September 28th. This supports our local youth during the holidays. Plans are still being finalized, but it should be a fun day, and lunch is being supplied. Please see and post this poster at your workplace or anywhere else. This will be both a Steel Challenge and a fun match. Try your skills and have fun!

The 5th annual Virginia Ballistic Challenge was a smashing success over a weekend with incredible weather. In total, there were 489 entries. Not quite the club record but very, very respectable. A big thanks to all of the volunteers, and a special shout out to Judy Gallion, Match Coordinator Extraordinaire! Congratulations to club members Myra, Chip, and most likely Terry for their pistol wins.

The Annual Ladies Invitational Match will be held this Saturday afternoon with registration starting at 4:30 pm. Match starts at 5:00. There are many prizes available, including a G***k certificate! Entry fee is $20. Come on out and have a great time and compete against other women for prizes and bragging rights.

The annual Virginia Ballistic Challenge (GSSF match) will be held at the end of July. The success the club has with GSSF matches depends on our fantastic volunteers.

No experience is necessary to help. You don't need to be a certified range officer to contribute. There are a wide range duties available - from score keeping, to registering competitors, or delivering water. Even pulling the rope to reset the plate rack helps.

The club is giving volunteers that register by July 1st a t-shirt, and G***k gives a hat. Depending on the amount of time you give other prizes are available (magazines, free entries, memberships, knives, etc.) Volunteers are also entered in raffles for 3 separate pistols. The more time you spend, the greater your chances of winning!

The G***k Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) match is approaching quickly. As always the club could use your help with this match. The success the club has had with the matches are a direct reflection of the awesome volunteers that have helped.

Absolutely beautiful day for the Sig Shoot this weekend. It's a great way for newcomers to check out the shooting sports.

From Chip: You do not need to have a Sig to shoot. You could shoot a competitors brand in Other Category.

Sig will let you try out different guns and see what you like, for free, as long as you use their ammunition in their gun. You may even try several pistols and see which one fits you the best. This includes their ammunition to use to try. You don't find many companies willing to do that for you.

Sig will let you use one of their guns with their ammunition for the match. Stop on down and see how little it would cost you to shoot the match with their gun and ammunition, I think you will be surprised.

Match fee: $45.00 for first run through the match
$20.00 for each additional run through the match

Using one of their guns to shoot the match: $20.00 per gun.

If a competitor signs up for membership with Shoot Sig this weekend, we will waive their first run through the match ($45.00)

Membership is $50/year.
